I go to a hair salon and also a nail salon and no I do not dress up for either occasion. But I dont go looking like a bag lady either. Jeans and a nice top and shoes.
Mainly because the hair stylists do not put the tissue paper around the neck of the apron anymore and hair always ends up down my neck and back. At the nail salon there is all kinds of nail dust and when I get a pedi my jeans/ slacks need to be pull up above my knees.

When I go to the hair salon it's for a trim or a perm, I usually wear jeans and a tee-shirt or sweatshirt depending on the weather, been going to the same hairdresser for years, she's just down the street from me and she tends to get a little sloppy at times when washing/rinsing my hair, so, no I do not dress up.

Not worth the hassle....my furs are in cold storage, and the "good" jewelry is in the bank....

The only salons I go to are hair and nails salons. I don't get dressed to the nines. I look nice but in a day look way.

@Imaoldhippie ain't that the truth. No matter how hard she tries, a few hairs end up in my collar and drive me crazy the rest of the day. My last cut, I actually eventually removed my shirt and went around the collar tweezing out the hairs.
If I'm getting a perm, I wear an easily removable shirt since I remove it after I get there.

Absolutely not! Why would I get dressed up when I'm the customer?

No, I don't get dressed up when going to a salon.

Whenever I go to a salon I always dress my best especially if I go to an upscale salon. I just hope they notice and give me the best care instead of looking like a schlep.
@Allthingsgirly67 Hmmmm, don't know why you would get better care because of what you are wearing at this so-called upscale salon. I definitely don't want to wear my best clothes to the salon....hair all over, hair dye, styling products.
