I use regular eyeliner on my top lips and just a eye shadow powder on the bottom. Both dark brown.  Black looks really harsh on me and lining the inside of the lower lash line makes me look 10x more tired. 

 

I haven’t tried lining inside the upper lash line.

I only line my upper eyes and once in a blue moon, I will line my inside bottom line when I am going somewhere special. For me it doesn't last that long, but I love how it looks. I remember one time my friend told me I had bedroom eyes, when I lined the inside bottom.
