Do you change foundation colors at different times of the year?

I am a natural strawberry blonde with quite fair, freckled skin. In the past, I have typically used the same foundation all year, no matter the season. I don't tan, and wear lots of sunscreen as I've had melanoma. So I didn't think my color changed much.

But I started using Bobbi Brown's Warm Ivory stick foundation last spring. I've loved it, and felt like I looked healthy and natural. In the last week though I feel like something isn't right. I look tired. My skin looks a bit sallow. Wondering if I need a different winter shade. Maybe I had more outdoor color on my face than I thought.

Do you find you need to change foundation colors throughout the year?

Hmm...I wonder if this is a blush issue and not foundation. At any rate, I need to get my happy, healthy look back.

no, I wear the same shade from Jan to Dec. I am fair to light. Always have been.

Hi there, I had the same feeling as you the other day.... I just looked washed out. Please put a light bronzer on, it does wonders. I do use the same foundation all year.

No. I don't get my face tanned in the summer so there's no reason for me to change shades.

I used to have to change colors but not since I started using Boots No. 7, the Protect & Perfect formula.

I am medium toned and use the Cool Beige. Love this stuff, only $15 and again can use it all year and I do spend a lot of time outdoors in the summer and still this color works. It is not sheer or heavy, just the right coverage. I did try the Lift & Luminate formula but seemed too greasy like and coverage not as good.

I get it at Target but believe Ulta carries it. I think I used every department store foundation from Lancôme, Clinique and Estee Lauder, and sticking with the Boots and love the price also.

I used to change colors back in my youth when I tanned every summer -- and now I regret all those tans! These days, my complexion/skin is the same color year-round, so I wear the same color of foundation year-round.

No, I don't. I don't tan either.

I do usually wear a very light dusting of bareMinerals Bronzing Mineral Veil during the summer (usually instead of foundation, but sometimes I wear both) but it is not enough that anyone thinks I have a tan. Right now, I just use the BMV for contouring.
