Re: Do You Use One, or Multiple Foundations Regularly?

I use the following on a regular basis (interchange depending upon my desired look):

  • IT CC Cream
  • IT Confidence in a Compact (now discontinued; will use until I run out, then I will cry)
  • Too Faced Born this Way Foundation
  • Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Stick Foundation

Love them all!

I use three consistently. It depends upon my mood in the morning as to which one I will apply.

It Cosmetics  CC+ SPF 50 in Rich Honey. I like the high SPF. I notice i tend to use this one more when it's going to be very sunny probably because of the SPF.

Bare Minerals complexion Rescue in Chestnut. I have to admit this is my favorite of the three. I love how it feels going on. It's a nice cooling sensation and an excellent color match.

Mented T40. I like this one because it's a stick foundation, it's also a good color match.

Re: Do You Use One, or Multiple Foundations Regularly?

I have a drawer full of different foundations.  I have been  looking all my life for the perfect one and cannot say I have ever found it.

At 69 with oily skin with large pores and now wrinkles I don't think I will.  Never found the perfect color match for my light to medium skin.

I use one, Bare Minerals Light Beige with a paper towel under the container.

You should visit a few make up counters at Nordstrom etc and ask for help finding a good match. Do 1 a day so you have a chance to wear test the foundation.

I've been using Clinique's Beyond Perfection in Ivory (it's a full coverage) and I add a tiny bit of Bare Minerals in medium beige in the original powder.

I like what I use but lately I'm thinking of going a bit lighter instead of full coverage.

Re: Do You Use One, or Multiple Foundations Regularly?

I only use one foundation at a time, I discovered Mented foundation stick about a year ago and I love it.  I had been using a sponge to apply it but I but the brush and I use less but get an even better coverage now.  I love it.  When I am going out for an evening, I use my IT BBUE for a little more coverage on marks or blemishes. Just a dot where needed. I'm not a powder girl but occasionally, in the summer, I use Laura Geller Bronze & Brighten Briighten powder.

Re: Do You Use One, or Multiple Foundations Regularly?

I stopped using traditional liquid foundation several years ago. I tried powder & mineral foundations, but I didn’t like them. I currently mix 2 tinted moisturizers to get the correct shade to match my skin. I use those 2 every time I wear makeup.

Re: Do You Use One, or Multiple Foundations Regularly?

I have gotten rid of various foundations, powders and other make up items I no longer use and have settled on two foundations; Bobbi Brown stick in a lighter shade for the winter months and the Bobbi Brown longwear foundation in a slightly darker shade for the late spring/summer months when I get a tan.

I keep my make up stash to a minimum and purchase replacements when it's time to toss older items.  I find that it's worth the effort to spend money on what works for my skin and skin tone and not follow what's trending right now.
