I was watching the T.V. by myself since no one else in my family was interested in watching that "junk". I thought they were great that night, and loved tonight's tribute.

I can tell you what I was doing in August of 1964. I and my three cohorts in crime were enjoying our seats at the Hollywood Bowl for the first Beatles concert.

I say "cohorts in crime" because months before we all told our parents we were going to a sleepover, but we called for a taxi and went to stand in line all night for those cherished tickets.

We were unabashed Beathlemaniacs, and to this day (tonight while watching the news story) my heart still does that little thing that it did all those years ago when this barely adolescent girl's whole world was the crush I had on those four -- Paul, especially.

Still, it makes me feel so old tonight. There is simply nothing like that teen passion and drama.
