Has anyone tried them? It's the standard disposable mask without the elastic. Sticks to your face with double sided tape.
I bought a small set from Etsy to try them, I have my cut and color this morning. In case there are any issues, I'm bringing my regular mask.
The seller advises a clean dry face without makeup. You can make your own obviously, if you can find a good double sided tape. Honestly I'm nervous about trying it. But the elastic straps definitely get in the way, that's been my experience. I know that my health and safety, and my stylist's, are far more important than my hair.

Thanks for the good idea, I am going to convert one of my masks for use when I go to the salon, and use double-sided tape.
My last trip was a pain because I had to hold my mask on my face. The hairdresser suggested disposable but all my masks are washable.

I wonder if I can take a regular surgical mask and use Hollywood tape to stick it to my face and cut the straps off.

Hollywood tape is one of the suggestions I've read. Best is medical grade tape, but I've never heard of double sided medical grade tape. It must exist, not sure.

I have enough issues just wearing a mask, I couldn't imagine having it taped to my face.

this is for a hair salon, especially if you are having your hair dyed, how do you keep a mask on? Or when you are getting your hair washed at the salon?
I had to hold it with my hand on my face the whole time, this is a great solution.

@Greeneyedlady21 I haven't been to my salon yet, so not sure what masks they're using there. I have some disposable masks with the elastic, but no adhesive around the inside, just the metal piece that bends over the nose. If the elastic and tape are bothersome to you (I break out from the adhesive in surgical bandages, etc.), I'd suggest cutting or just tucking in the elastic pieces and placing surgical tape that's paper around the outside edges of the mask to keep you and your stylist safe. This paper tape (drugstore aisle where bandaids and surgical supplies are) is non-irritating and not painful when taken off.

@Abrowneyegirl For Hollywood-type tape to stick and hold, the area needs to be oil free and dry. I'll stay w/ a surgical grade tape, as well, that holds even if it gets wet when hair's getting washed.

Let us know how the mask works.
I’m lucky; I can color my hair myself when the ends get dried out looking (have done it once at the end of May) and my straight hair doesn’t grow all that fast so it just gradually gets longer. It isn’t a style that makes a cut important right now though I don’t have any idea why I wore my hair long for so many years! I do miss my above-the-shoulders bob!

The real (no knock-off) Hollywood tape holds very well in most situations. I used to create a watertight cover over a surgical area for my DH so he could take a shower. It held watertight everytime! It was actually difficult to remove after the shower.
I would not want it on face every day that's for sure, but for a hair appointment I would survive.
