Re: Disposable Hair Salon Masks

@CelticCrafter I agree, no way would I use a salon provided mask. I use only my own masks anywhere I go, and that's hardly anywhere these days.

My sister told me that she used two band Aids to hold her mask on and it worked. She used the ones with the stretch fabric. She tried the plastic ones and they did not work.

My hair is down to my waist and I have gone twice since this all started for color, cut and the big blow out dry on all my hair.  Not once as my over the counter medical mask slipped or fallen off. It never as gotten in the way.

Re: Disposable Hair Salon Masks

I too have gone twice since salons re-opened and I wore the cheap procedure masks we have available at work.  I had no issue with the loops getting in the way of her coloring or cutting my hair.  Yes a little color got on them but I tossed the mask when we were done.

I wonder if I can take a regular surgical mask and use Hollywood tape to stick it to my face and cut the straps off.

Hollywood tape is one of the suggestions I've read. Best is medical grade tape, but I've never heard of double sided medical grade tape. It must exist, not sure.

I’m intrigued now as I’ve never thought about this type of mask. I have a hair appt in the morning and I’ll ask my stylist if she has seen anyone use one of these, and if they stay in place pretty well.
