As far back as I can recall, it appears that QVC's shipping charges are an income stream.

You get the "convenience factor" ... which means a great deal to some people. No gas, no wasting time walking through malls (if they still exist in that area) and no dealing with insufficient inventory or choices.

Back to QVC ..... I can only imagine what it must be like to work in the QVC returns department .... what a mess that must be! Ugh!

$6.95 is shipping label which is a great convenience. I truly agree with the comments. Yes companies do take a great loss in returns.

I's like to see QVC's percentage of returns compared to others.

If QVC put more effort into manufacturing, packing and materials, and their own quality control, there'd be fewer returns.

Also, QVC raises prices on some items during free shipping days. I'm not feeling sorry for QVC.

And this is my number one reason for not shopping at QVC anymore. It's been decades since I've bought from QVC. And the shipping and return shipping charges are the reason.

Besides, Nordstrom matches other retailer pricing if they are lower. And of course all s&H is free.

I said "that I had looked into" specifically for this reason. I don't look at beauty there.
