We used to do a "purse test" where we exposed tubes of lipcolor to high temps. Usually they melted .

My car would get blazing hot sitting outside in the summer if it sat outside in the summer. You know I've never worked so my cars haven't sat in a parking lot all day. It is sitting in a garage and if I remembered to do it, I keep the sunroof open just a little so that the rising hot air can escape. There is always a tube or two or three of lip gloss and a lip tint in my car or purse. My purse lives in my car. It's fine. I've been doing this for years . Oh, 99% of my shopping is done online while Pearl sits in the shade.

Well luckily I use lip gloss. It's already a liquid. I keep a tube of elf lip tint, which is in a bullet form, and it's never melted.
