I have been looking for info as to whether or not there are cumulative, permanent, results. I mean permanent not like forever, but not just for a few hours or such.

I have the older NuFace and had a hard time staying with it. I use a LightStim most every evening, but couldn't do it with the NuFace. I found having to wash off the gel to be overdrying to my skin.

Are the results of the microcurrent devices more than temporary or not?

Thanks.

I just returned my Nuface that I purchased as a TSV. I used it 6 times a week for over 2 months and decided to send it back as I saw no results, permanent or temporary.

I think the most you can expect from any device is temporary.

A long time ago, women had facials, and they were only temporary. Now there are lights & microcurrents and fillers, even facial exercises -- all temporary.

If you don't do anything special, then nothing special happens. So, it's just a matter of choosing what you want to use.

Everything in life is "temporary". I have gotten more compliments on my appearance and makeup after two weeks of LightStim than I had for the decade and a half before, and as long as it is safe, I will definitely continue to use it.

This was the answer on Nuface website about how often to use

"NuFACE is safe and gentle enough for everyday use, either morning or night. We recommend using NuFACE once in a 24-hour period, for 5-20 minutes per treatment. For the first 90 days we recommend using NuFACE 5 times per week; after 90 days or after desired results are met, we recommend 2-3 times per week for maintenance."

That sums it up, doesn't it? And just makes sense. Even facelifts aren't permanent.

My frustration comes because I want the specific results the different devices deliver, and even I am not willing to spend a couple of hours a day "doing" my face.

You're right! Heck, LIFE is temporary!

I'm hopeful they'll find some way to offer a microcurrent that doesn't require gel. I'm not too hopeful, but I know a couple of laser devices require gel and Tria has come out with one that doesn't, so maybe.

I just returned my NuFace TSV because not only did I HATE the gel (I found cleansing, applying gel, washing off the gel drying, too), but the time it took. About 40 minutes for that, about an hour for LightStim and I was so disgruntled I just stopped them both. And even worse, having to wait 24 hours in between NuFace treatments. Just couldn't make it work with my erratic schedule.

That being said, when I was using it I noticed gradually that it was showing the results for a longer period of time in between treatments.

Just returned mine, too, but primarily due to the requirement of the 24 hour rest period between treatments - really hard to do with my erratic schedule. I DID see results, though, and can see a difference since I stopped. Very subtle, but very noticeable -- to me. Even so, it wasn't doing me any good if I could only use it once every three or four days.

That you saw nothing, and I did, shows us once again that it truly varies from person to person.

I enjoy my lightstim, dermarolling, and facial exercise/micro current. I also enjoy my body workouts (currently doing barre work) and eating healthy. And good skincare is a must. I figure as long as I am doing something, I will have and maintain good results. If I stop, I won't get the results. At my age, it's crucial to keep up with my exercises just so I can stay limber. Lol!

If you don't do anything special, then nothing special happens. Maren, I love this line! So true!
