Is there any reason I can't use a night cream in the morning?  I'm almost out of my day cream and just bought a new night cream.  Well, now they have come out with a new night cream that might be better for me (assuming any of them work at all).. So, I'm thinking of using the night cream in the am and getting the new night cream for night.

Any reason not to?  Thanks.

I'm no skin care expert but there are two differences I've noticed between my day and night creams. My daytime moisturizer has an SPF and my nighttime moisturizer seems to be a little richer and more emollient. If neither one of these things bother you I don't see why you couldn't use the nighttime one during the day and just apply an SPF. I've done that for a few days when I ran out of daytime and didn't have a chance to get a new one.

It's just cream. Use whatever you want. I often use night cream for day because my skin is dry and I often don't need a sunscreen when I'm inside all day working from home.

Depending on your tolerance, night creams often have retinol, which can make you more sensitive to the sun. It's not an issue for me, but I'm mentioning it just in case.

I use the Skinn Creme Reverse in the AM and it has time released retinol.

What @JeanLouiseFinch said, but many creams are day AND night creams.  So, those should be no worry.  I did this at the change of the season when I was using the M Asam Skin Tightening Cream in the day and something else at night.  The Skin Tighetnening Cream was for AM & PM use. When I ran out of what I was using at night I switched to using the M Asam as my night cream and started using Elemis Marine Cream w/spf for my day cream since I'm out and about more in spring/summer/fall.

@Bridgegal   Many night creams are heavier than a daytime moisturizer. They also are a bit much to wear under makeup especially in summer.

Give it a try and see what happens. If that night cream isn't too heavy, it may work.

I prefer a lightweight serum under makeup, not a cream. Creams for night.

I've used Avon's Dramatic Firming Cream in the morning ... for many years now.

Nothing at night - just a clean face.

@Shelbelle

I think I'm going to try that.  I just started using a vitamin C serum on the recommendation of my Dermatology PA.

I'll use my current new night cream and see how it goes.

Thanks for the suggestion as I hadn't thought of that.
