I am watching one of the performers n the Disney Christmas Parade and at first I thought she had a mustache above her lip, but in reality it was a very dark lip-liner and a pale lipstick, it liked pretty bad IMHO.

Sooo 90's!

I hate that look. A local news station has all the female news and weather reporters wearing this look. It’s hideous.

As the other poster mentioned , so 1990's . Guess, the look is back as is all the metallic colored clothes & shoes & bags. I remember matching my liner to the lip color. I would use the liner to cover all over my lips , then I would apply my lipstick to prevent the funny light lip look. I never wore a lighter lipstick with a drk lip liner. However , if you drank or ate or licked your lips the listick color would fade and you would be left with that funny goofy look .

There is a Merle Norman store in our area with a woman who still wears her lipstick this way.

I agree it's not attractive, but if the person's in a parade (essentially the same as a performer), it could be theatrical makeup. That's overdone so features are exaggerated and more visible. Ballerinas, opera stars, etc. ,if seen up close, look like they're in drag.

That was out when it was in and to wear it today is so bad. Today you wear a clear lip liner or match one to your lipstick color.

Yes I remember this trend . Model Naomi Campbell made this look very popular in the 90s.. I agree many time preformers need to exagerate their makeup.
