I agree with you. Dana is the Face of Perricone in the USA and I'm confident her skin care includes signature facials, including electro-stim treatments that are provided @ a Perricone Flagship. I'm also confident she does not use Botox. Dr. Perricone is anti-Botox and would not have a spokesperson who went to another derm to get 'toxed.

Hi Lynn!

also, Dana is not that old. I wouldn't expect her to be needing Botox either. Isn't she like 40? That is young!

Before I started Perricone I went for fillers and light Botox every 3 to 4 months. I go once every 9 to 10 months the last couple years, and I reduced the amount of Botox I get. I get sample size.. Just above the eyebrow arch and end of eyebrow for slight lift. Perricone products are just what my skin needs. It isnot for everyone, but for me, YES!

I would either take the Skin Quiz @ perriconemd.com OR call the Perricone Flagship to discuss my skin care concerns and get recommendations, based on my primary skin care needs.

shoekitty - You bring up an excellent point (Dana's age), however women in their 40's and under get Botox. I think it's great that you are able to go so long between your treatments.

sparkle,

I peeked late last night, and it got bad. The usual brutal bashing. However, there were some really horrid comments by one the "usual" nasties. I won't mention names

But that's probably why it was poofed.

Did anyone happen to mention her conversation that started with her singing a little of a show tune? I was just curious if I was the only one who found that exchange a little odd.

Hyperbole is right! I think Dana is lovely and this is not a bash at her, but it annoys me that all we really hear about the products are adjectives and how we'll be luminous or whatever. What is in the products and what do they do? She touches on very little of that and I imagine that is what the powers that be at Perricone give her to work with so I don't blame Dana. It just gets me every time. These are expensive products and we have a right to know more. Most of the other skincare lines give you more than this these days. If I wanted to know something there are quite a few women on this board that could give me better advice on these products. Thanks, that was sticking in my craw I guess.

I feel the same. I do not personally have an opinion on her as an individual but, sheesh, as a spokesperson she drives me batty! I've given up and don't frustrate myself by watching her anymore. I've spent a lot of time researching and educating myself about ingredients. I find it more than a bit insulting that a company thinks I'll purchase based on those silly presentations.

I mean no offense to those who use it. Many who use it I respect a lot on these boards. Daisyk is correct. I'd get much better info on the line from all of you!

Hi Bella and Daisy

I use Perricone and love it. I use it almost exclusively, but have to agree on 2 points. One is the obvious. YES, they have so many products , many of which do basically the same thing. I have used the products for 5 years, and would never know where to start, In my opinion if you are starting, try the starter kit The one with cleanser, AFFA, and the night cream . I think his best products are the eyelid serum, AFFA and the acyl glutithione, cold plasma.

I also agree about the Perricone programs on QVC. Luckily I had been using Perricone when I peeked in one time. They go on and on for 20 mins about nothing IMO. They didn't tell me how to use the product, what to layer it with. They really didn't tell me what it did . It was a waste of time, and I was pretty angry, and never watched again. I think at the time they were launching Chia serum. All I knew after 20 minutes was it would change my skin forever. LOL!

I htink the on air presentations could use more structure, some graphs or photos, and instructions on how to use it and what to use it with.

They may have changed presentations since then, but I will never waste my time. I go online and research it, then buy it. Or I call and get a consultation

Re: Dana from Perricone looked pretty

I do not use Dr. Perricone's products. His items are just not in my budget. Neither can I watch Dana for long because she has way too much drama for me to be selling a product.

I am always amazed at the "snarky" comments about her face. She is in her 40's perhaps a little over, and her skin looks good. Some of the posters must have terrible skin. They are always going on about procedures she must have had etc. I am 47 and I have not had any procedures done, no botox, and I have excellent skin. It's not as if it's a miracle people.

You are so right. She talk about how these products provide the nutrients your skin needs, but never says what they are. Then she talks about the unique delivery system but never explains what it is. Nothing is explained, like you said. I could never make an investment in these products without some more information.
