@bargainsgirl what is a dry brush?

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

They are supposed to be replaced every 3 months

I wash mine like I do with my makeup brushes. I use Dawn in a bowl with water and use a wide-tooth comb to work through the bristles several times in all directions. Rinse and place the brush, with the bristles facing down, on a towel to dry.

@I am still oxox   A dry brush is a semi-stiff brush with either a long handl to reach legs and back or a hand held brush. You use it on your skin when it's dry to exfoliate. I use mine before a bath or shower and lotion up afterwards.

I agree w/ @SilleeMee about washing them with dish soap..usually Dawn's at my sink.

@hopi   I don't replace mine that often.

@bargainsgirl  Just to mention that a Salux cloth is fabulous for dry brushing, which I do every day. I throw mine in the washer a couple times a week and then let it air dry.

After a couple of years use, I recently replaced mine, but there was absolutely no wear or tear on my old one!

Whoops!  Replace every 3 months?  I've been using mine several times a week for at least 6 and haven't even thought of cleaning it??  Hope I don't get some deadly disease--LOL!!!

I also use a Salux cloth but the brush is much more invigorating!! I do throw the cloth into the washer on occasion and it does last forever.

Sorry all!  I should not write late in the evenings!   I meant to ask about cleaning a WET hair brush, not DRY(!?!?!)  At any rate, thanks to all who responded and were probably wondering what the heck I was referring to!!

@bargainsgirl

I have a brush similar to a Wet Brush and what I do is take a soft 2-inch wide, or wider, paint brush and run it through the bristles with Dawn and water. 'Brush your brush'.

I actually bought a Wet Brush and it was difficult to get the hair out of it plus some of the nubs on the ends of the bristles started coming off. After that the bristles felt sharp so I tossed it. Come to find out Wet Brush company recommends replacing your brush every 6 months so I decided not to keep buying them. What a waste in the landfill.
