@Pink123  - Have you tried the no-glue lashes?  Kim Gravel sells them and many other brands sell them.

Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE BUT ME?

Omg....    So funny.   I have indeed had days like that but not with makeup. My catastrophes have been with wardrobe mishaps.  With daughter #2's wedding, I spent way too much $$$ for shoes.  They matched my gold dress perfectly.  I wore them around the house for days to make sure they fit and were comfortable.  I didn't eat salt the day before to avoid feet swelling.  So, wedding day arrives.  I'm getting dressed.  The shoes are too big!  My heels are slipping out of them!  Why?  So I'm scurrying through my shoes looking for another pair that would work with yhe dress and the dress ripped under the arm hole.  I ended up wearing the 10 years old gold sandals that I should have worn to begin and I spent the entire wedding and reception worrying that the rip would grow and give way.  I think every woman can relate to your story.

Speaking of pimples😜,

When I was in elementary school all of a sudden I had a big pimple on my chin! Like a witch! How embarrasing!

My solution-either not go to school, (my mother wouldn't have allowed that), so-

I spent a week drawing a cut on my chin with red food coloring and the letter opener my sister gave me.

I wore a bandaid over that.

Then when the bandaid came off I continued to draw this cut until it "healed."

To this day I can't believe I so painstakingly did this deception because there was no way I was going to school with this!

Still, it was a pretty good "cut." if I do say so myself! I later got an A in a college theater make-up course.😅

The things we do for beauty!🙄

Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE BUT ME?

Yup...

Just the other day we were preparing to go shopping. Nothing special but I like to look decent when I go out in public. I dressed in a white and beige outfit (colors that are not always what I choose so people remark on it when I wear it-as being a nice change of pace for me).

I was waiting for DH and sat in my favorite recliner so kitty came to be petted --walked all over me. I then noticed a wonky odor. Ms. Kitty had not cleaned everything until she walked on me.(never had this happen before.) yech ..back to the closet and laundry  room . Smiley Happy

I do not know who Mr. or MS. Murphy was , but they were terrible lawmakers and there should be a revision.

@Starpolisher,

I have that quote framed in my homeWoman Happy

"Kindness is like snow~ It beautifies everything it covers."~ Kahlil Gibran

When I first saw it I thought It meant so much to me because I think kindness is probably my number one trait that is important to me, and winter with snow is my favorite season of all! How beautiful.

And my sister gave me The Prophet when I was sixteen.

I'm with you!

I love, love the wisdom & grace of the writings of Khalil Gibran.

THANK you for referencing Gibran!

Other than Gibran's often repeaated one:

"Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

       ("The Prophet" by Khalil Gibran)

And I LOVE, LOVE this one:

"I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers."

("Sand & Foam" by Khalil Gibran)

Have you ever considered you are trying too hard and not for the right reasons?

I have found when I am not trying and doing something just because I want to, it seems to go a lot smoother.

Of course that is always easier said than done.  The morning I was supposed to be somewhere super early, that I have not been to before  was going well.  I was up early, not rushed.  I woke up early, had things planned out... it snowed for the first time all winter.  My car remote starter wouldn't work (it's been fine since and prior).  It got super stressful quickly.

So yes.  I can relate.  But to my point, I had to go.  I really didn't want to. It was like the universe putting my vibe back on me.  LOL

Next time things start going sideways-- get up, leave the room, come back in and start again.  That's what my Dad would always say-- go out and come back in.  LOL
