DOE FOOT APPLICATORS

[ Edited ]

Foundations, concealers, highlighters, lip gloss, etc.  I'm seeing more  coming with a doe foot applicator.

If applied directly to face, not only do they pick up skincare that goes back into the component, but they also deposit bacteria from putting in and out of it's jar, tube or bottle....especially gloss.

I've been applying them to a glass/metal makeup palette (I mix foundation shades on there, too) or on the back of my hand and use it from there. I'm thinking much more hygienic.

Charlotte Tilbury has many highlighters and primer type products also with a doe foot.

What do you think about these doe foot applicators? Sanitary or not?

@Shanus - they don't bother me but then I usually put my foundations, concealers on the back of my hand and work from there.

@Shanus    I don't believe the applicators will make any significant advantage to the users' health.   Whether they will make a significant difference to their appearance, I don't know but I am inclined to think not.

@JudyL   I've always done it on other women to be sanitary, but thought over the weekend why am I not doing this for myself?

I put most everything on back of hand first. I do use the doe foot applicator  directly on lips for lip gloss.

I use back of hand method in part to have better control over the amount of product I use and because I saw someone else use that method and it made sense to me.

Unless I’m sharing the product, I’m not going to go to the trouble. I’ve been doing it this long and haven’t died yet.

@Shanus   almost certain the comma comment was intended for another poster.

If it bothers me so much to use the doe-foot applicator which comes with a product then I can always buy disposable doe foot applicators and use those instead.
