I'm 67 and still wear bare minerals powder foundation, but I use a primer first. I use everything though, but always come back to BM in the spring and summer.

I've worn mineral makeup since the mid-90s at the urging of my derm. The line she recommends is Jane Iredale, which does not contain bismuth oxychloride. I use the loose version of foundation although she does have a pressed one. A tip I would like to share is that after applying all of my makeup, the last step I do is to take a large fluffy brush (I currently use the biggest one from IT) and lightly spritz it with Iredale's Pommist -- any mineral water would do. Lightly tap/bounce/pounce the misted brush on your face. Your make up will have the creamiest appearance. Just remember that you want a very, very light mist on the brush.
Also, Iredale has both cream and pressed powder blushes. Her shadows are pressed as well.
