I found a Hot Tools at TJMaxx 10 years ago for $25.00, been great. I also have an old ConAir I've had forever as my backup. Both have been great, not expensive or complicated.

I don't think you need to buy a "spendy" one...as mine have done the trick very nicely and lasted long.

Btw, my cousin who's a hairdresser recommended the Hot Tools brand at the time. But, also, like I said my ConAir's been just fine too. Hope that helps~Good luck!

Hi @amyb

I've bought the Hot Tools curling iron from TJMAXX as well. It was probably the model ( don't remember) but near the end of the barrel at the clamp would catch a strand or two of my hair and pull. What model do you have because I also need a new one. Ty!

Hi @Midmod ..I actually had to go look. As I think I said, I bought this 10 years ago, I hope they still make them, as it's been one of my best and longest lasting curling irons.

It is called "Hot Tools Helix"...it was pink/black (then!) and Model# was MM34H. I answered this without doing a search, but will do that too. Hope that helps...and hope you/we find it again! Either way, any Hot Tools is probably still good. I need to start giving a look when I'm in TJ's, that way if I see one, I'll pick it up for backup.

Hot Tools is my favorite brand of hair styling appliances too, from curling irons to round brush dryers.

I understand the quality of things available now.  We used to be loyal to the Maytag brand, but after having purchased a washer, dryer and refrigerator in the last few years, we will no longer buy anything Maytag.

I agree.  I've had the same experience.
