A couple years ago I discovered that Costco sold designer fragrances at half price of retail. I was there on a random day in early Fall and noticed a frenzy of shoppers surrounding a couple of pallets that were displayed in the area where they sell body creams and other beauty products.

I bought Versace, Alien, & Juliet Has a Gun. I went back a couple of days later to pick up a few more for gifts but it was all gone. Spoke with the warehouse manager who said they get a couple of pallets once or twice a year and they sell out quickly.  Costco price is $60, retail is $120+

Last week, there was a small quantity of a partial pallet of Designer Fragrances. Already picked through. I bought Chloe Eau de Parfum and Dolce & Gabbana The One. There were a few more options from Gucci, Dior, Lancôme.

I will be looking to see if they bring back more in the Fall like last year.  This photo shows what to look for at your store. The fragrances are put in large clam shells. They are not knockoffs. They are the same as what is sold at department stores. No samples to try.

Oh, this is worth looking at. Was the display near something else that will help me locate it?

@Flatbush - every Costco store has differences with the size, layout and inventory. I live near 2 Costco stores. Each has a different layout. Sometimes I go to the other store when my main one is out of something I need.

Call the store and ask them if they have it or expect to have it. Or next time  you go there, ask at the Managers station about the Designer Fragrances. And where they would display it if they currently don't have it. It will probably be by the health and beauty area where they sell body & facial washes, cosmetics, creams, deodorants

I wish the fragrance notes were printed on the packaging.

Costco is known for moving items around in the store making us search for them.  Smart strategy having the customers go down aisles they normally wouldn't.  That's why they don't list the items on the aisle signs like Sam's does because they want you to hunt for items.  Love Costco.....always a scavenger hunt.

The way I check my Costcos to see who has what I want is just go on Costco same day or instacart Costco and search for what I'm looking for to see if that store carries the item.  I have many Costcos close by and they seem to cater to the area they're located in as far as what items they carry.

@ruthbe, I agree about checking online. Especially when they have their beauty events and can get additional savings with multiple items purchased.
