What are the chances that some kind of ''virus'' may get into them somehow and sent here?

It's possible. Even though not enough is know about the transmission of the Coronavirus, in general a virus can "live" on surfaces for up to 9 days. So if people preparing a product or packaging it have the virus and sneeze or cough on it, it's possible that the virus will still be alive when you receive it.

Okay so let's say you get sick after using some K cosmetic. You might just feel like you have a bad cold or even maybe the flu. How could you know the difference and would you go and get tested?? There seems to be a shortage of test kits, last I heard.

Thousands and thousands of those lipsticks were sold yesterday on HSN, if they would happen to be contaminated there would be mass hysteria.

I think the suggestion that a virus would survive a trip on a ship in a big container, which would last days if not weeks, is just plain silly.

You are entitled to your opinion, but it is possible. Before I retired I worked for the federal government and developed the Pandemic Plan for the division I worked in. Viruses can live for up to 9 days on surfaces... that's a fact, not my opinion. Check the CDC's website if you don't believe me.

Everything is probably made/packed by robots these days. No single person is going to take each lipstick and put it in a tube and put the top on, etc. Unless it's a tiny little new company. IMO

I think experts believe the virus may live longer on plastic.

All state and local labs are supposed to have their test kits by next week. Guess we’ll see.
