@monicakm I love those colors & I suspect sometime in the near future I will try a variation on that look!

That is a beautiful paletter, but I am sure that I have similar colors in my collection.

Pinks work best on me if I use a dark brown eyeliner. No pink right against the lashline.

To do a small winged liner on my eyes I place the "wing" first, then draw the liner across my lashline bringing it up to meet the wing & then fill in the area under the line down to the lashes.

Then I get a Q-tip. I run the end through a tiny dot of Mac Fast Response Eye Cream & run it from the outer corner of my eye up to my temple, to clean up the wing.

No, I wouldn't copy that look.  It's too theatrical for me even at night. After all my years of buying and trying makeup I kinda know what works for me.  It is fun to experiment with new things, too. But that look belongs on people like Jlo.

I recently copied a look I saw someone do on YouTube with some bareMinerals eyeshadows and loved how it came out.  Soft, neutral and looked pretty.  That was the first time, I think, that I've ever followed a particular eye look.  Forget the winged liner, not a fan of it and there is no way it would look right on me.

@monicakm   I would not look good copying the pink look in this photo.   However,  I can wear some pink.   It depends on the shade of pink and the other colors I use with it.  It can look very pretty if done right.

Suzanne Runyan often wears burgundy shadow and I don't think it looks very good on her.  Pretty eyes in the photo you posted.

Anyone remember the Glamour covers of Cheryl Tiegs and Cybil Shepherd?  Twiggy?  Those are the last people I tried to copy.

Re: Copying Makeup Looks

@monicakm

I could never wear anything pink until I 'matured' and my hair and skin tone lightened. I can use a soft pink highlighter now wear and d love all hues of pink clothing.

Do you remember many years ago little pamphlets were offered with drugstore eye makeup? (Maybe still now but I don't know) There was at least six different suggested ways to use the colors in the palettes

Fast forward, when buying color cosmetic tsv's on the Q  they often included a tutorial brochure with pictorial suggestions for use. I loved all those different ideas and frequently tried many. It was fun and I loved the variety of many new and different suggestions.

Now, with low vision issues that muddy my ability to see color clearly, I stick with what's been tried and true and application techniques I can still muster without looking like a makeup "no."  This breaks my heart in so many ways but it is what it is.

Do know I truly love your enthusiasm and appreciate all you share with us!

I don't believe the look is just for celebrities.  Us mere mortals can enjoy the look too.
