I will, of course, get the hairstroke ones - which actually look like hairs - not a solid color. For my fair coloring and white hair she is thinking she will use an ash taupe shade, but she said she tries the different dyes on your skin before she does anything till she gets just the right shade for you. Then, using a pencil in that shade she pencils them on exactly as they will be for your approval before she begins. It takes about 2 weeks before they will look exactly as they will look permanently. Before that they are dark and reddish and swollen looking skin in the area. You can not put on any makeup for several days after they are done until they heal - no swimming or any medical procedures or hair dyes or perms for 2 weeks after.
I wanted to get the eyeliner as well but she does not recommend that if you have have glaucoma or macular degeneration (which I have) so I won't be getting that part done - darn it.
I am really looking forward to this.Looking at her album of before and afters I am amazed at the difference in some of the ladies. They really do look much younger with eyebrows, and especially those who have no lips and get permanent lips done - wow - what a difference. They look years younger.

What happens when you get older and the eyebrows droop?

They will be right over where my eyebrows are now - My natural eyebrows are still there - they are just sparse and very light. To the best of my knowledge - I have never seen anyones eyebrows droop. They are always right there where God put them - just get thinner and sparser as we age.

If I can ask, how much is she going to charge you?

You will most likely be very pleased with your eyebrows being done. Less is more. I have had mine done twice, about five years apart. It will fade. The last time, was by far the BEST. She did a touchup procedure about a month after the initial application and said this was ESSENTIAL. I agree.
You will think it is a little dark at first, but it will fade. I have been very, very happy with mine and it lasts a long, long time.
Now, it seems like MAYBE you are considering the lip procedure. I have ONE word for you.
DON'T
Many reasons, high among them PAIN -- Did I say PAIN? I even went next door to a dentist and had injections and it was still very, very PAINful. In addition, it does not last. Next, COST. It is not at all cheap, Not at all. And the PAIN, oh the PAIN. I did have it done the first time with just the topical numbing solution they put on and it was incredibly painful then. That is the reason I went with the shots. Just the shots alone were PAINful. And I have a high tolerance for pain, believe it or not.

I had my eyeliner done when they first started and still ended up using eyeliner on the top anyway because eyeshadow covered it up! Be sure to have some large zip lock food bags and loads of frozen green peas for swelling! They form to your face and stay on the spot better than anything!

No - not planning on lips, mine are still pretty good. I was going to go with eyeliner and brows but now I guess just brows.

I got this done about at least 8 years ago and with time they fad, I have had to use eyebrow pencil for the last 4 years. I did not get them retouched and I'm not saying it was not worth it to me. It was worth it because I still have the perfect shape. I trim my eyebrows around the shape and just fill it in lightly.
