Consult Beaute Regenerol Retinol Cleansing Balm

I have a question on this product.  Why would you want Retinol in a cleanser?  I just dont understand what the purpose of it would be.  Its a cleanser to take off your makeup and then you wash it off.  Aren't you then washing off all the retinol??

To me that appears to be a marketing ploy. People see 'retinol' and assume that must be good for the skin. But that is not how it works.

I also think the same thing when I see a cleanser has Vitamin C in it. There's no benefit IMO since it's being washed away. Marketing ploy I think.
