Oh no...I'm really sorry to see the forums go. I haven't watched QVC in years. The few purchases I have made over the last several years are all because of things (recommendations) made on these forums. I am grateful to all you ladies who were so willing to share, respond and offer help and opinions here. I wonder how this may affect future sales on the Q.

Personally, Facebook is not a good alternative for me. I am not on Facebook and will not be starting now.

This is such a HUGE mistake on QVC's part. These forums and the connections we've all made with each other through them is a large part - at least for me - of our lives and the fun we have shopping and sharing interests, ideas, and events in our lives.

I agree with @Shanus - there doesn't seem any logical reason for the shutdown.

@JudyL I can't think of any reason to give a month's notice other than to get a read on the use of the forums. If that's true, it's manipulative.

I totally agree with you.

I don't think that they understand this at all!.

I am really influenced by those of you who post here, and what your reviews and opinions are of what you have purchased from here and from the sister station HSN.

I also read product reviews from other Q shoppers, too.

If anything, I personally think they should have sent out a Marketing survey to Q customers of who uses the forums, etc. That way, they would know if those customers were influenced by the forums, etc.
