Prior to using WEN, this was my routine. And no, it doesn't make your hair dirty. Like others have said, it's called co-washing. My hair is wavy, thick, coarse, and extremely dry. In my pre-WEN days, I would rarely wash it for this reason. But I would usually "wash" with my conditioner at least every other day. This helped when I finally made the transition to WEN because "no-poo" wasn't a foreign concept to me, lol!
