Re: Complexion is flaking --- not a good look!

Didn't read all the replies but my first thought was that you might be dehydrated.

@ThinkingOutLoud

Yes, dehydration is something the OP should consider.  And something a lot of people don't realize is that dehydration and dry skin aren't the same thing.

Try Squalane Oil.  You can get 100% plant derived squalane oil from The Ordinary for $7.90 and Ulta will have it too.

I've  used it on and off for a couple of years and have some ordered right now.

I forgot to add that a recent YT episode from Doctorly talked about Squalane.  Here is the title

 I was using a 7 day scrub and all of a sudden my skin was very flaky, and I am dry to begin with...I stopped using that scrub every day and also use argon oil at night.  My skin cleared up pretty quickly.

Me too........

I have been using Argon Oil 2x daily and it is helping.

I'm looking at Skinceuticals products. Any thoughts on this line?

They are pricey but I'm about to toss a boat load of products.

Any thoughts about putting a few drops of the PTR retinol lotion into your body lotion for crepey skin?

I don't know why but I am terrified of using oils of any kind on my face!  So afraid of a reaction or breaking out -- which I tend to do with the rosacea!  Thank you for the reommendation.

My body skin is always dry so I am always moisturizing but it is not flaky.  I shower with water that is just warm, never dry.  I wash my face with warm water and then cool.  So, you think that using this Alpha Skin 10% will hel me with the flaking and not be too harsh?  I am tempted to try it, but hoping I don't get too irritated from it.  Thank yu!

As I wrote to another poster, I am scared to try oils on my face.  I am afraid I will get a reaction or break out, since I tend to do that with rosacea.  Thank you for the suggestion!

I use a very gentle creme cleanser from Cerave right now.  I have difference ones but this is the one I'm currently using.  I have tried the Clinique Gentle 7 Day Scrub and it doesn't seem to be doing much.  Thank yu!
