Maybe you're just getting smarter.
If anyone should feel good about herself, it's you. We all depend on you here and respect what you have to say and love the way you say it.
Aww. Thanks.☺️
It's not true, but it's nice to hear.😘
It is true. Every word.
Where would you like me to send the check? 😂
You are a sweetie, bee. Must be all that honey...🍯🐝

@rnmom wrote:@Oshare-girl -the coronovirus stock up craze hasn't seemed to hit here in Michigan yet. We are hearing some about it, but not much really. And like you, I'm pretty sure that we could manage for a week or two if we had to without getting to the store. I'm sure we would run out of staples like milk, but otherwise I'm sure we would be fine.
I might need to get some back up toilet paper though! We do go thru a lot of that!
@rnmom I've talked to people that are stocking up on toilet paper and bottled water. It's because people are worried about the docks shutting down due to workers being sick. We're an island so everything gets shipped in. But to be buying 3-4 Costco packs of toilet paper is just ridiculous. It takes my family of 4 over a month to go through one of those. I think even if the docks do shut down, it will open again. It's not like a tsunami where the docks will be wiped out and ships cannot enter. People are being very irrational. So the CDC has made an announcement to stock up and now they are back pedaling and saying not to buy too much. Costco and Sam's Clubs are completely out of toilet paper.

Here we are at the end of another month, how did everyone do?
Overall I think that I did pretty well. My purchases were minimal for beauty items and I feel like our other purchases, while maybe not exactly "needs" were definitely more than just frivilous splurges, thought out, and definitely items that are getting used.
Now's about the time when I start to get a bug to try some new beauty item. Not because I need anything, but because I really haven't bought anything fun in a couple of months for beauty and I just want to try something new. Plus I'm really looking forward to spring and getting away from this dreary winter, it really feels like it's dragging by now.
I do have some new, unopened items in my stash, maybe I will dig something out so that I don't buy something that I won't use, just to have something "new". I do have a couple of Ulta gift cards if I really feel the need to pick something up.
I'm stll working on HEP, down about 14lbs and trying to eat healthier. I definitely feel like I'm continuing to make better choices overall and I'm happy about that. Some of my clothes are starting to feel a bit looser, everything was SO tight, so I'm really glad about that. It gives me some incentive to want to keep going.
I just have to remember that once I am done "dieting" that I need to continue with eating healthier. I can allow myself a few more treats and a bit more food overall, but I cannot go back to eating nothing but junk all day, every day. This definitely needs to be a lifestyle change.
@rnmom You are doing so well at HEP! 14 lbs is amazing! YOU must feel amazing, especially with the way your clothes are fitting. It's so hard to make good food choices at the end of the day.
Definitely shop your stash for the unopened beauty products you already have. It really helps to curb the urge to shop.
Just like you, my family had a bunch of necessary purchases. Prom bids (when did prom get so pricey?!), plumbing issues, repairing our rock wall that collapsed into our neighbor's yard. Times like these really make me want to be a renter. But I made only one beauty purchase for a pressed blotting powder. Since I decluttered the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder, I needed something to replace that. It was icing on the cake, I needed it and it was on sale! Love when that happens.

I think we should finally tell our fantasy selves to pack up and move out. What a bunch of freeloaders.
I wish I'd seen that inexpensive/expensive quote about fifty years ago.
I still had M&M's from Halloween. I'd had leftover M&M's before and ripped open all the packages and poured the candy into a jar. Developed a nasty habit of reaching for them in the morning while my tea brewed. To avoid doing that again, I brought them to work this week and handed them to a resident who had said that he loves cheap candy. Told him he was doing me a favor.
Why keep it when I have dark chocolate in the house?
Eye shadow. I have several palettes that I rescued from the house fire. Probably should have tossed them because I tossed all the other personal/beauty products. No, wait. I also kept the LG blush, cheap eyeliner and some lip balm. The items that take the longest to use up.
It's weird. I look at eye shadow palettes online and they look almost identical to the wet n wild and Rimmel ones I own. I don't know what colors I'll need to wear when my hair stops being brown, but I'll keep using what I have while I'm still a brunette.
BH watched me put on CC cream yesterday and asked me why I wear it. I told him I wear it to make my face an even color and to cover things on it. Then I showed him some of the things I cover. Again, he asked why I would do that.
I like the whole minimalist thing now but I'm not that minimalist. Not going to toss the cosmetics.
@just bee Agreed, I'm evicting my Fantasy Self ASAP! But it's gonna take a while to get all her stuff out of the house...
I have a bunch of dark chocolate in my freezer and have started having that as my dessert. It's always so satisfying and amazingly kills the urge for something sweet. Cara Cara oranges are for sale in my area again so that was my one covid-19 shopping stock-up. I'm loading up on the vit C. Between the dark chocolate and fruit, I'm been curbing my normal dessert binging. And the food diary is still working.
That LG blush still has what, 9 more years of life left, right? And you're right. All the eyeshadow palettes look the same. There is nothing new coming out because the majority of people prefer neutral eyeshadow. Our Fantasy Selves like the colorful stuff, but we know she'll never use it. I can't wait to get down to one neutral palette instead of multiple ones.
That's so nice that your BH loves you au naturale. If we could only love ourselves the same way. I'll never be without any makeup. I don't want to look sick or tired when I'm not. But I am looking forward to paring it down several notches. Right now, I'm just using all these products to USE them, not really because I want to use them. I have another little list of products I could live without. Those are the ones I need to use that inexpensive/expensive quote on.

@Oshare-girl -wow, that's crazy about the toilet paper shortage. People are definitely getting a bit irrational. It's that kind of behavior that just makes things worse. I got groceries yesterday and didn't notice anything different thank goodness.

@Oshare-girl -Thank you! I wouldn't say that I feel amazing yet, but I am starting to feel better. I'll feel amazing if I lose another 20-25lb.
We had the necessary expenses of haircuts, oil changes, boy scout camp was our big expense this month. Kids sure can be expensive.

Just having a square of really dark chocolate seems to be having a positive effect. It's satisfying and for some reason you don't want to sit and eat the whole bar. Of course, it doesn't taste like a Twix so that might be the reason.
But now you've put Cara Cara in my head. I might have to go out and get some citrus this week. Ooh... maybe Halos, too?
