It would have been my Friday, but someone needs to work tonight so I'm going in.  Long week.

But the house is cute, I like the neighborhood and it's a little closer to normal.  The dog seems to be adjusting well to the new place and there are plenty of walking opportunities.

We just have to develop our new routine here.  What's weird is that my tastes are changing and I'm liking these all white interiors.

@just bee, That's great that you are still liking the new place. I know it hasnt been that long.  Yes, isnt it interesting how tastes can change. I know mine definitely have. I am just not sure to what yet. I think part of my problem is that I do like so many different styles. It has always been my problem.

So...Carla has her “inside” toys and her “outside” toys.  She has a toy box for each.  This time of year the outside toy box gets full of cobwebs, blown grass, bugs, and heaven only knows what else.  She loves rooting around in it for just that perfect toy to suit her mood.  The rule is that once an “inside toy” goes outside, it stays outside.  And this is why:

What's funny is that this is a very modern house.  The interior is painted white, the wood is oak, the floors are varying wood tones and I've counted four skylights.

But the light fixtures -- other than the ceiling fans -- and bathroom fixtures are oddly Victorian.  Interesting contrast.  Reminds me that I once was fond of Victorian but now find it "too much."

I want as little to maintain as possible.  I don't want to dust with a Q-tip.

I do have to admit that now that she’s almost “middle-aged” (she’ll officially be four years old next month), she’s finally calming down a lot more often.

Then she’s pretty cool. 🥰

@just bee -I am glad that you are getting settled into your rental and that you got some of your items back from restoration. Another baby step back to normal.

Any news on how the house rebuild is going? Any surprises when you got your restored items back?
