@rnmom wrote:@aprilskiesI'm already getting the e-mails and the catalogs for all of the pretty holiday sets and I can feel myself caving already. It's so early so I'm really trying to hold off but I'm not sure come Black Friday or Cyber Monday if I will be able to resist all of the great deals or not. I really don't need anything, but I might splurge just a bit. I just have to remind myself that even though the sets are beautiful, I don't need that much stuff. For example, I'm always drawn to the lip sets that are out and I have no idea why, because I rarely ever wear anything other than lip balm. Why do I need 10 glosses when I only wear them once or twice a month when I go to church? Makes no sense, but yet I'm still drawn to them. Need to be strong!!
I don't wear much when it comes to eyeshadow or lip color but even I'm captivated by some of those palettes and gift sets.
I know, though, that if I buy them they'll sit unused. I can't wear the majority of those colors.
@rnmom @just beeYea, exactly. I am thrilled to get it and then it goes straight into my drawer with the rest. I just dont use that much mu.

I wouldnt be too hard on yourself. I cant even tell you how many times I have had mishaps in my own home much less outside. You just never know. I am glad it wasnt much worse and happy the worlds greatest dog is okay too. Take care of yourself.
It's not good but, like I said, it could have been so much worse.

So, I just popped in for a minute and what do I read? Sheesh, woman! WT*? I kept waiting to get to the post with the punchline, until I realized that YOU were the punchline and this was for real.
You have to be hurtin’ for certain, but I just can’t help thinking that only you could have an accident involving dog poop immersion. Talk about adding insult to injury! That alone should get you at least a week off work. You’d have the patients puking along with their emergency injuries and illnesses, making correct diagnoses impossible.
I’m sorry 🐝, I sure do hope you feel better.
Good thing your dentist wears a mask though...😱😷💩😂

Well, I ended up placing an order yesterday for items that I didn't need but thought it would be nice to try. I read on the forum here that Prai was offering 50% off thru 11-6 in honor of the founders birthday. I've never tried Prai but I love what she stands for. She is not only cruelty free but she is a HSUS board member and is actually using proceeds to pay the adoption fees to get animals out of shelters across the country. I'd love it if I fell in love with some of her products and could help support her cause. So, I ended up getting a cleanser, toner, eye dark circle product, serum and 2 creams to try. They were already all on clearance and I got an extra 50% and free shipping so I got 6 items to try for $30.14. Talk about dirt cheap. Even though I didn't actually need any of these products I just couldn't pass that up and I don't have a stash of skincare here anymore. I have one back up cleaner, that's about it. I have no toner, no serum, nothing for dark circles and only one nighttime moisturizer that I like. So it wil definitely get used, I just hope I like it.

Yes, the poop part was the icing on the cake, wasn't it? Events like this are helpful. Life hands you a good story, you build character and your perspective gets a little tune-up.
I managed a shower before seeing the dentist. Some chipped teeth around the one that broke in half. I go in today so they can find a good color for my new front tooth (crown).
This episode so reminds me of my university days just before student teaching. End of summer and I glanced at myself in the mirror. My skin looked good. Was I finally getting past all that teenage acne? Would my twenties be zit-free?
Next morning I woke up with chicken pox.
God keeps us in check.

I returned 3 BECCA items to QVC. I didn't think they were that good or worth the money. Cost me $7.95, but good to get the credit as the items were not at all like they looked when presented.

Thanks! It's been an expensive little accident. And I can't go back to work with a broken hand.
