Just Bee, very unique environment. Your walks and hikes must be interesting.

There are hidden treasures in this state.  Really well-hidden.

Well, it is the end of the month, ladies. I know I say this every month, but I cant believe it.  We are 3 months in. My low buy/no buy was good, but not great. And my HEP needs some work. My strategies so far have not been successful so now I think a few drastic measures are in order.  I thought I was going in the right direction and the scale this morning tells me othewise.  Perhaps, the latest bagels were not a good idea. I will say this, it is hard.  Even when I make a salad, I think I am adding too many extras that pack on some calories so even those will have to be made lighter. oy vey.

Well, April is here.  I wonder what the weather will hold for us. It is still pretty cold out there.

Giving up bagels was easier than I thought it would be.  I've adopted that new bread and it seems to be working out.

It all comes down to a quality vs. quantity thing.  If it looks like a lot, I ask myself: "But is there anything 'unhealthy' in here?"  If there are quality ingredients, I'm okay with it.  A huge salad?  Fine -- as long as everything in it is going to be a benefit.  I look at nutritional value.

There's a test I administer in the checkout line at the grocery store and at Costco.  I look at what I'm buying and then I look around at what others are buying.  Is there anything rolling towards the kid at the register that I'm embarrassed about?

Test yourself.  Look at other people's groceries.  I always imagine the Food Police showing up for a raid and confiscating all the c__p in others' carts.  I picture them nodding approvingly at my items and even asking how I plan to prepare that odd-looking vegetable.

It's how I pass the time while I wait in line.

Too funny, JB.  I do the opposite.  I check other people's carts out when I can't remember what I needed and/or getting new ideas for meals. Lol.   Especially at Costcos where I may of missed something along the way.
