I actually made a beauty purchase last week.  I opened my last tube of mascara at the start of October, so I ordered my year's supply (on sale, of course, with a coupon and free shipping) and I threw a couple extras into the order: A couple Buf-Puf body sponges and a couple EcoTools Konjac facial sponges.  A $36 investment.  I'd been thinking about the Konjac sponge for a long time and finally caved.  It's my birthday present to me.  That and Meat Loaf, of course.

It's an interesting texture.  Can't explain it.  Soft and a tad slimy.  But I'm auditioning the thing this week and I'll report on my findings.

Any new discoveries out there?  Any big plans for fun?  Any reinventions for fall?  This month is almost over!  Incredible.

I decided for my birthday gift to myself to pre-order the Bare Minerals TSV. I should get it Friday - then I'm going to force myself to not open it until my birthday on Monday....yeah I don't know if I'll be able to wait LOL. For a fun activity, I signed up for a painting class for Tuesday night. I've done other painting classes and really enjoyed them so I'm looking forward to it! It's being held at a local restaurant so I'll treat myself to a drink and appetizer to munch on while we paint.

I applied for a new job, had 2 interviews, they offered me the job! However, my current director is being a witch and saying I can't leave anytime soon since we're short staffed. It's a complete lie since we are actually 1 more person than we had for majority of the year! So that is needless drama I didn't want to deal with but it's a fitting last witch act from her.

The Bare Minerals TSV is the only purchase so far this month!!! Poor UPS man must be confused why he's not stopping at my house.

It's funny, I had taken a drawing class back in the day, no I am not very good, but I am considering taking another one.  I dont know if I will or take something different but I just love that stuff.  I would love to be able to paint, sounds like fun.  Enjoy.

Happy B-day and good luck with the job.

Your UPS story made me remember one from a few years ago.  I had just gotten all of my orders, one after the other for a span of time( I was in one of my shopping cycles) and then one night about 6, I hear a drop at my door.  I am thinking I got all of my stuff so I thought I must of forgotten what I ordered.  I looked and it wasnt mine.  I was lucky the UPS man had another delivery around the corner and as he came back I told him it wasnt mine, it was a neighbors.  He said he was so use to coming to my house that it was an automatic thing for him.  Omgosh, perhaps I had/have a problem. I just had to laugh at myself. Now I have some orders here and there but he must think something happened to me. Anyway, you story made me laugh out loud.

I think I will finish out Oct with no major beauty or mu purchases. Just some minor ones.  So Aug - Oct, my purchases are one major purchase, which was WEN and then just some minor ones.  After losing my footing for awhile, I am back on track.  Holidays will prove tough but I will keep the purchases to a minimum as best I can. I really dont need a thing regarding products. Last year around this time is when I lost my head so I have to be mindful.

I really am determined to try and use what I have first before buying more. So far so good.  I actually took out some moisturizers from my linen closet so I can see them and use them up along the rest. My problem is when they are hidden, I forget they are there. I am getting through some stuff and it feels good.  ...even some things I thought I would throw out.

I started using my perfumes also. Honestly, at one point I thought I was going to trash these.  But I decided to try and use what I can. So, I am currently using my amazing grace perfume first before moving to others. The scent really doesnt last so I think I spray more than normal so I enjoy it for as long as it does last.

I decluttered some more this weekend and it felt good. I actually tackled some paperwork too.  I only made a small dent but it is a start.

Anyhoo, sorry for the long post.

1.  Happy birthday!  Mine was yesterday and I slept through most of it.

2.  The painting class sounds great!  I was an Art minor and droppped my painting class the first day because the supply list was so daunting.  Stuck with drawing because charcoal was cheaper.  But I regret never painting and still think about taking a class.  Especially one with food.

3.  Same thing happened to me when it was time to start my nurse job two years ago.  Suddenly my director wouldn't let me go as planned so I missed a vacation before the new job started and inconvenienced everyone on the new unit.  I thought it was spiteful considering other people wanted my hours and would have happily filled in.

Congrats on the new job!
