I'd like to apologize in advance to any Cubs fans out there.  I avoided watching any games this season and this is why the team is in post-season play right now.  Well, I watched last night and they lost.  It's genetics.  My dad always said the team would lose when he watched them play.  And I know what you're thinking.  He must have seen a lot of Cubs games.

I possess a similar trait.  Whenever I choose a checkout line, there will be a problem of some sort with the person in front of me that will cause a delay.  I feel like I should warn anyone who gets in line behind me of this "gift" so they can choose another line, and I can watch them leave before I do.

I purposely missed last night's game which turned out to be one for the ages.  The Cubs won 8-6 at Wrigley and scored six home runs.  Ryne Sandburg threw out the first pitch wearing an Ernie Banks jersey.  This would have been the game to watch.  Sigh.

I am proud of you!  You sacrificed yourself for the good of Cubkind.

I'm doing very well avoiding temptations so far this month!!! I haven't bought anything from the Isomers, Perlier, or Serious Skincare visits!!! UPS driver may get seriously confused when he doesn't have to stop at my house anytime in the near future. LOL He may think I moved.

I went thru and cancelled a bunch of auto-deliveries. I don't actually use most of them so didn't see the point in holding on to that temptation too. It was sort of freeing to do that? I'm trying to stop the incoming flow to access what I really want or need. UPS driver will just need to find another house to stop at.

-----------------------------

I did the same. I was considering some Isomers and Laura Geller and am not buying anything. That super serum was calling my name but I have too much skincare as it is and I just threw out a barely used BnB so I dont need more mu.  I have barely used mu in the last 2 years so I have to go through it because I know there is just more that needs to go. I need to start using what I have. Ugh, the waste.

I only have one auto delivery and that is the Isomers Eye immortal kit. I pushed it out to February.  I have a little less than half of the first bottle left.  I want to finish it and see if it really did make a difference. My eyes look better but I dont know if it's because I keep them moisturized better now or it was the eye immortal. If I find it is just because they are better moisturized, I will cancel that auto as well.

In October, I have one very small purchase but that is it for the month.

I've exercised, DD cleaned the kitchen, school lunches are made, and I am waiting for the Democratic debate. Woo hoo! Maybe I'll make popcorn.

The way clutter seems to happen is so interesting.  At work, I have been trying to keep my desk looking nice and clean.  It is a challenge sometimes but I have been doing good, however, my drawers have suffered. So, this week, I open one up and start cleaning it out. The stuff we hold onto thinking we will need or it will come in useful later is amazing.  Out it all went and I only put back the things that I know I use. Several drawers to go but that felt great because it is one drawer I use all the time and I got tired of the mess.

I know this is such a small thing but it still amazes me how clutter happens when you are not paying attention.

That's probably another way we procrastinate.  Don't deal with things immediately -- just put them away and deal with them later.  Like junk mail.

Haven't had a chance to watch it -- I've been working and trying to crank out my final class.  Hope I get some time tomorrow to do something else.  Although I did manage to do something Friday night: I saw Meat Loaf in concert.  But today will be a mad dash to get three assignments turned in on time.  Four weeks to go...

Just Bee - How was the concert? I've always liked Meat Loaf's music.

Okay!  I'm finally taking some time off from work this week so I can celebrate both my birthday and Better-half's birthday and watch baseball.  The Cubs owe me, so they need to win tonight at Wrigley.  Of course the TV's been dying a slow death and it's not turning on this morning.

I don't feel like doing homework.  Come back soon and help me procrastinate.

This is how old Better-half and I are getting.  We couldn't believe how far we had to drive to get to the Route 66 Casino/Legends Theater.  Keep in mind that it's only a few miles away.  I used to have to drive all the way to San Francisco to see concerts back in the day.  (We're spoiled.)

Anyway, the seats were great, I ran into someone I haven't seen in ten years, and Meat Loaf and the band were spectacular.  He's a treasure.  My next concert is the Beach Boys.
