Re: ComPact 2015 -- November

Speaking of shoes, it just occurred to me that abandoning cheap athletic shoes was a really good decision.  I was buying two or three pairs at a time and they were disposable, wearing out after a relatively short time.  I'd just go out and buy another couple pairs.  Were they comfortable?  Not really.  Now that I wear Alegrias to work and a good quality hiking boot for dog outings, my feet are happy.  Those hiking boots are like cast iron.  Alegrias don't wear out quickly, either.  Wearing real shoes makes a huge difference.

I'm out of sneakers!  Now if I could only ditch the jeans...

I do know myself well enough to admit that I will never give up sweatshirts.  My sister must also know me: She sent me a "Pink Freud" sweatshirt.  (No, I haven't worn it yet.)

Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C BB Serum

Okay... the package has arrived.  I of course did the useless thing: Slathered the product all over the back of my hand.  Where I won't be using it ever.

Boy, there is a lot of fragrance here.  Grapefruity.  I broke down and put some on my face.  Nice application.  Skin feels soft.  Not sticky.

I'll be auditioning this and will report any news.

It's official: I just went online to check to see if I had a grade on my paper.  I do.  Got an A on the paper and an A in the class, so my 4.0 average for the BSN program is intact.

Now I can put all my papers and books away.  My diningroom table will be clear again.

This stuff is thick and rich.  I'm wondering if it will be a zit producer.  I've decided to use it after I wash my face -- morning and evening.  I'll try it under the CC cream, but it may end up a greasy mess.  I'll try that on a day off, just in case.  It does seem to work better than a cream.  It doesn't just sit on the skin surface -- it's absorbed quickly.  The scent is strong (most of what I use now is unscented) but it's not offensive.

serum

I just went to the Walgreens site and this is now out of stock.  In a way, I hope I don't like it too much because I wouldn't pay full price for it.  Of course, I wouldn't pay full price for the CC cream, either, because I'm getting really cheap.  But this may be one of those disappearing Lumene products.  They tend to drop products fast and replace them with something else.  We shall see...

Re: ComPact 2015 -- November

OMG.  I just spent the morning going through the stacks of paper on my desk, the diningroom table and the small kitchen counter that collects mail and receipts.  I filled a large box with paper to recycle and two trash bags to shred.  I have a clear plastic bin for the things from work and school that I need to keep.

I found some of the strangest things...

And my guestroom toilet is chirping.  It sounds like the freakin' rain forest back there.  And the glass plate in the microwave is turning when the microwave is off.  And my jujube tree is leaning even more and is resting on the pistache.  I think the leak in the roof has expanded.  The TV is officially dead.

Good thing school's over -- I really need to address this stuff!  I think 2016 will finally be the year of major ComPacting.

Thanks.  This just means that I'll probably quit and not pursue another degree because I don't have it in me to stress over another GPA.  Not that I needed to stress.  I could have settled with Bs and no one would have cared.  But it was a goal I set for myself, thinking this might be my last go-around.  Any classes I take now will be for fun.  I'm done!
