Hi everyone,
I haven't posted in a while because life has been busy, busy, busy! But, luckily, I haven't been busy shopping! I was tempted though with yesterday's Philosophy TSV but I'm no longer buying products from companies who test on animals so that TSV came and went and I'm not $80 poorer!
In the past week, I did use up a 32 ounce Wen cleansing conditioner, an Escada perfume and a BBW shower gel. Of course, I've got lots of product in backstock but it's nice to see a couple of empty spaces now.
I see the Mally set of 6 volumizing mascaras are back and they're my favorite. I'm finding it hard to resist those but I've got 4 of those in backstock as well as about 6-8 of other brands - unopened! I must resist....I must resist...
Have a blessed day eveyrone!

They've been charming. And that video of the fly in the nest is so much fun to watch. Those owls are so expressive, and I do appreciate how close they are. The other birds didn't seem to have as much "family feeling." That Ollie's siblings shared their rats with him was impressive. I don't think my siblings ever gave me a rat. And they're still not in the nest.
Texas rats, beware!

And the owls left without eating their lunch. (See the nest's floor.) I'll miss those cuties, for sure!!

ITA! Resist! You have plenty - at least a two year supply. If you buy another set, it is possible that some of the mascaras will go bad before you can use them. Just say no! You can do it!

l'm still resisting the Mally set of 6 mascaras! I opened a new mascara yesterday morning and it felt great to get rid of the old one! If Mally's company isn't around when I need more mascara in a couple years (LOL), then I'll just ask for suggestions for another brand!
As for the owls, just checked the nest and it's still empty. :-( I think it was a "hoot" when Ollie was playing with the feather and when the siblings were watching the fly.
I'm starting to feel a bit down and that's not good for my shopping habits. I tend to shop more when I'm feeling out of sorts. The big issue now is that I hate my job and am actively looking for another one. It just can't come fast enough. I know...all in God's time.
I read some back posts and someone (I'm sorry but I forgot who) mentioned they shredded their QVC receipts/shipping documents. Maybe I'll start to do that tonight. My QVC folder must be at least 5-6 inches thick full of old bills and receipts. That may make me feel better. I'm possibly moving next year and the file cabinet needs a good going through so we don't move all of the useless paper!
Have a lovely day everyone!

Hi, ComPacters! I am feeling blah today and popped in to see what was going on here. My homepage is Yahoo, and the first thing I saw was Cecil the lion with two smiling hunters standing behind him and the story of Cecil's death. My emotions overwhelmed me, and I have no owls to cheer me up. I know two men who travel to Africa simply to hunt. Men with weapons who kill animals from a distance. Yeah, that's fair. I am this close (index finger and thumb very close together) to becoming a vegetarian. I am almost there.
The breakage continues in my home. Now, the bottom element in my oven fizzled out. It will not cost a lot to replace, but I am so tired of all of these repairs.
The good news is that I finished the Isomers Eye Duo a few days ago, and I am waiting to see if I notice a change due to not using the duo before I move up the next auto-delivery date. Also, I have a few products that are nearly empty. Yea!
The flat iron I ordered arrived yesterday. It is really hard to use, but I am going to give it a good try. It smooths frizzies and creates shine, but I cannot get the smoothness with curl that was demonstrated. I'll google some how-to videos for help.
The combination of heat and humidity has been terrible this summer, but I am continuing to exercise outdoors in the early evening. I am one sweaty mess! My skin is more sensitive than it used to be. The perspiration stings my face. I have to wonder if it is caused by all of the stuff I use on my face. Two nights ago, I used a mask after exercising. I couldn't keep it on my face because of the stinging. Maybe I should have waited an hour after exercising before using it. I don't know. But here is what I have decided. I do not find using scrubs and masks to be enjoyable. I am not longer going to purchase them. I tossed a scrub that really irritated my face but am not sure what I will do with my three masks. I might hold them until winter to give them one more shot. Later, I will look for a gentler way to deep clean my skin, but I won't be buying anything for a while. Just tired of trying skin care. Who'd have thought?
Three hair styling products hit the trash, too. They did nothing for my hair, and I am not going to save them. Every day should be a good hair day!

DD IS CLEANING HER ROOM!! Under the bed, dresser drawers, closet, everything. She has filled a trash bag and is now vacuuming under her bed. Woo Hoo!

Hello Compactors,
Dosey you asked about my summer which is going great. I met a very nice man and we have been dating. The down side is that I want to buy all new beauty products to look my very best around him, especially since I was given the senior discount when I was on a date with him the other day. I am only 50 😡
The Crankshaft comic strip has made me think of this group. His daughter needed cement and he took he to the garage, because in 1962 he had bought a bag that he did not fully use. He found the bag and it was bad. He went to buy a new bag and the smallest size was 100 lbs. It was ironic because I had just been thinking about how much bigger everything seems to be today.
Stay cool. Seattle broke the old heat record today.

DL2843, I remembered your post about meeting someone and am so happy that you are happy. Of course, you can buy new beauty products but just remember that your new man is attracted to you just the way you are. He sees that you are beautiful!
Who gave you the senior discount? Was it a young person? I will never forget something that happened to me about 20 years ago. I was in a store looking at a leather jacket for my husband when the very young saleswoman (salesgirl) asked me if I was shopping for my son! My son!! I was only in my early 30's and looking at a jacket for a big, tall man. I did not look old enough and was not old enough to have a son who could fit into that jacket. For Pete's sake! Young people cannot guess the age of anyone over 28.
The cement bag story is very funny! I think 98% of adults keep things that we really don't need. It's the American way.
