Continue to use up what I have. The only thing I can see purchasing is a good concealer since I am almost finished with the one I am using.

I haven't posted on this thread in a while, but I still read all the time and I'm still in! This year I want to focus on my bath products stash. I have enough bath and body products to last the whole year without buying any more, and I got a gift card for BBW for Christmas! Ugh!
I'm just going to hold onto it, maybe by this time next year I'll use it to buy some of the Twisted Peppermint that I really like, but I need NOTHING for a long time.
I also just recently started using the SKINN line of skin care and so far I really like everything I've tried. This year I want to try to transitiion over to just that brand so that I don't keep jumping around from brand to brand, trying new things and not really liking any of them. I just need to try to be mindful because he has SO MANY products and I want to try them all! I need to try to make sure that I'll use the items that I purchase.
Happy new year to all and here's to another great year!

Happy New Year ladies!!
I haven't written for a while, but, I am still reading the thread. I haven't done so well the last couple months (credit card shows that), so I am here to recommit to compacting. Please keep writing about your goals and your compacting ideas, they are inspiring.
Have a good day ladies.

Happy 2015!
This year I want to finish my handsoap stash. Which I am almost there. I will keep plugging along to reduce my shower gel stash to core brands of scents I love. And try hard to not add to the stash of bath and body products.
A new goal for my makeup is Use It Or Lose it. I will be trying a palette a week. If it works I keep it if not I will give it away or toss. I will also be trying single eyeshadows on the weekends. I'm going to include eyeliners as well. I plan to be brutal. If this works and I feel like I'm not too overwhelmed I will do it with fragrances too. (full bottles and samples) Although I will repurpose the fragrances in my diffusers as well as giving some away. I do so much better giving something away every week than one big purge.
My non-beauty goals are to go thru my clothes. I want to go through a clothesbasket a week and pare down my closet. Once again, one big purge doesn't work for me too overwhelming.
So for January my hit list is: 4 baskets of clothes gone thru. 4 palettes, 4 eyeliners, and 4 single shadows, and hopefully 4 fragrances gone thru and either kept, gifted or tossed or repurposed. And my handsoap stash to be down by 1. Hopefully my showergel will be down by 1 also.
I am excited I know I can do this!! Little by little one by one it will get done!
How about you? Can't wait to read what you all have got cooking!!

Happy New Year everyone!! I'm in!!
My addictions:
Clothes (QVC and resale shops). Way, way too many!
Handbags
Candles
Hand Lotions
Shoes
Books and magazines (when I could go to the library and get them free)
I have a little notebook and starting today, I'm going to write down everything I purchase. At the end of the week, I'll see how I'm doing. The goal for the week is to make sure that NONE of the above items are in this book!!
Good luck to us all ladies!

Happy New Year everyone.
I'm glad the Compact is continuing.
My goal for this year is to save some money, so no clothing, skin care, bath and body etc. I have enough dusting powder to last at least 5 years
. Can you imagine that. The past few days, I've been putting my jewelry in order. I bought 2 Colleen Lopez necklace boxes & I filled them. I have some more necklaces in little bags. The sad thing is I found necklaces I forgot about. I have her earring, ring & pin boxes all full. I thought I would give some to my niece but she informed me jewelry isn't her thing. One sister doesn't wear jewelry, the other has a different taste. So much jewelry & no one in the family wants them.
I've also been decluttering. I went through five boxes of paper & found bank brochures from 1999, a passport that expired in 2005. When I got a new one they asked for my old one, I honestly didn't know where the old one was
. I have two more boxes to go through.
I have high hopes for this year because if anything will motivate me is the thought of retirement staring at me.

Do not worry you are not alone. I have over the past year discovered two brand new pairs of shoes that I actually forgot that I had purchased. Never worn!! I am going to participate in both threads this one and the other one to get my spending under control. My goal for the month of January is DE cluttering my bonus room. Toss things that I am not going to use or have not used in years. It's just sitting in there taking up space.

Happy New Year! I have been faithfully reading and lurking on this thread since it started! How I admire you ladies that have resolved to pare down and been successful. This is my year to make this happen! Hubby and I are building a new house, and I really don't want to move the multitudes of items I have accumulated. I stopped counting after I hit the 200 mark on lipsticks, glosses, eyeshadows, etc. I also have BOXES of cleansers, serums, you name it. Oh and stopped counting at 200 purses.
Geesh, I may need professional help. SOooo, I am creating a spreadsheet which I will update weekly on items used up, given away, tossed etc. I am hoping I will become obsessed with the spreadsheet and results instead of getting the deals......
Today I am focusing on unsubscribing from all of the email from cosmetics/clothing/skincare companies. Hopefully out of sight, out of mind.
Good luck to everyone - I'M IN!

I'm also going to tackle my bedroom. My News Years Resolution is to do for me FIRST! I have already taken 7 bags of clothes, shoes and purses yesterday to Goodwill and I have much more to do. I kind of got discouraged because it doesn't even show a dent in what I really need to do, but I'll keep plugging away. I've lived in this house for 20 years so I guess it's not going to clean up overnight!
