@Suebdoo wrote:@just bee I apologize in advance ....but maybe check philosophy site today. I know you like PG. I'm sorry for enabling, but didn't know where else to page you. Btw I'm in ABQ too and looks like more snow might fall. My yard is still full!!
Thanks for thinking of me! I received the philosophy email. I'll pass because I stocked pure grace on a sale not long ago. I should have passed on the other two scents I purchased along with the pure grace. When will I learn? Fresh cream is way too musky and the other one -- good morning, sunshine -- is not going to be used that often. Not horrible, but it's not pure grace.
Yes -- we were just out at the bosque with the dog and the sky out west was getting ominous. The temperature will drop down into the 30s tomorrow. According to Accuweather, there will be snow tonight. I wonder what Steve Stucker said? (He and I are both in Paradise Hills. It's starting to rain here.)

@geezerette wrote:I'm not much for Christmas movies anymore, but I used to like "Holiday Inn" I think it was called--the movie with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Somebody. I watched it every year even though it's a musical and I don't usually like musicals. It had the song "White Christmas" in it, so you'd figure that's what the movie would be called, but nope.
I'm sure there were others I liked, but I can't think of any off the top of my head, or the bottom either, for that matter.
Nowadays I often will watch the really schmaltzy Hallmark Channel Christmas movies before bed. I think I've seen most all of them by now, and the acting is terrible in many, but by the end of the day I can't concentrate on much of a storyline anymore anyway.
You made me think of a Christmas movie that I am not tired of. It isn't on very often. That is probably why I am not tired of it. It is "The Christmas List" with Mimi Rogers. Lifetime used to play it.
I might be tired of some of the classics (but still great movies), but I never tire of the animated Christmas specials. Frosty, Rudolph, Little Drummer Boy, ...

You're the sentimental kind, eh dosey?
"Ho. Ho. Ho." Hans Gruber
Speaking of Alan Rickman, have you seen Galaxy Quest or Truly Madly Deeply? I do like him.

Yes to Galaxy Quest. I have not seen Truly Madly Deeply but really need to. Alan Rickman is one of my favorite actors. Did you see Sense and Sensibility? He is very good in that one. I liked him in Robin Hood, too. Of course, my kids know him as Snape from Harry Potter. He is terrific. The English Kevin Spacey.

I wish it would cool down here. It has been in the low 70's. This weekend, the temps are supposed to drop but then pop back up just days before Christmas. I do enjoy to lower than normal power bill.

Yes. He and Emma Thompson have been together in several films now that I think about it.
Funny you should mention Kevin Spacey. His impressions kill me. Back when I was watching him in Wiseguy, it never occurred to me that he could do a great Christopher Walken. And then some.

I do love all the animated classics as well. What's Christmas without Mr, Grinch.
Another movie I think is cute, albeit a little sad, is Jack Frost with Michael Keaton.

Me too. I am ready for cooler weather. It has been unusually warm lately.

It had been like spring here until just recently. It's 27 degrees and feels like 14 degrees. I was just filling the bird feeders and it doesn't feel that cold. Lots of snow on the mountains but we didn't get any at our house. Denver got slammed.
Just went outside to check on the sunrise and the Sandias. It doesn't feel that cold. Twenty degrees here is like 50 degrees in San Francisco.

He is an incredible impressionist!
