Thanks bee. I just popped back on to say that I was just texting with my bro and he had Direct tv for a few years when he lived out there. He said it was good. Only lost the picture a few times due to heavy rains. I'll take another look at it. We get a special thru our AAA membership. I'll look at Century too. Thanks again.

Here's another link.

Your best bet is to stay with one of the "big" providers.  Heavy rains in NM are rare, so when they do happen you will want to be watching the rain instead of TV, anyway.  Our storms are spectacular. Cat Very Happy

Hi just bee. My DH and I have ATT Uverse now. I know that it is not available in Abq. I just found out today that Comcast does'nt serve the area that we are moving into. I really don't want Direct TV. Can you list some other companies that provide TV and Internet services out there? We are keeping ATT for our phones. Thank you in advance. Giving my notice at work tomorrow. I hope it goes smooth. Lol.

Are we avoiding our homework today, or just bored, bee?

Just tired.  I came home from work and thought I'd try to figure out the new photo feature.  I probably fell asleep in front of the computer five minutes after I posted.  Awake now (sort of).  Now I can officially start avoiding homework.

Actually, I can't.  I have some things due tonight and I have a couple papers due this weekend.  Tricky, since I'm working overtime this weekend because we're so understaffed right now.  This will be interesting!  But I think I have a plan.  Write one paper before I go to work and one when I wake up Sunday afternoon.  Can you say grind?

While I was snoozing, my Casmir was delivered.  It reminds me of something.  It's a little -- more than a little -- musky.  But I do detect the fruit note.  I need to marinate in this a little longer and figure it out.  But 3.4 ounces for $25 is not something I will feel guilty about.

This smells like something.  It's familiar.  I'm thinking, I'm thinking.

Re: ComPact 2015 -- 6/15/15 through 6/30/15

Just dropping in to say hello. I hope everyone is doing well.

This weekend I am going to attempt some decluttering. Not a lot but just a bit. I dont know how much I feel like doing it but we will see how it goes. I would like to get started again. Maybe I will tackle some much overdo paperwork.

Skinn is back on this weekend and I have basically avoided those threads for the most part. I am pretty much done with Skinn, still have too much to use up, but it doesnt mean I dont get tempted with some of the newer stuff I havent tried. It is funny though, I almost got tempted by a peel and thought where I would fit it in with what I already have and moved on without a problem. It really does help when you ask yourself some questions first.

I am so glad it is the weekend. I have been very stressed out at work and I need a break. I cant handle stress like I use too and dont like that feeling any longer.

Okay, so I havent been on the boards a lot, but this new setup is going to take some getting use it. I am sure it is just a matter of getting use to them, but they feel so disconnected and slow. Maybe it is because everyone isnt up and running just yet.

Oh dear, I was gone so long they changed the whole forum!  Glad to find this thread and the fancy-smancy "float the topic" option. Woman Very Happy  And nice to meet you, Debra!  I am slowly but steadily working thru my stash.  I pulled out a mini bronzer that I haven't used for a while and 2 days later hit pan!  That was exciting!

I have learned my lesson and have stopped stocking up on everything.  Even if it's on sale and I'm using my last whatever, I know it will take way longer to finish it and another sale will roll around before then.  Or I will get bored of it and want to try something new.

I'm now all about the mini sizes.  I used to love the supersizes.  Until I found the ComPact.  I know that a mini will last me about as long as I have patience for it.  A full size just takes too long.  But I will not go to the dark side (monthly sample boxes).  I will NOT!

I still check out the beauty blogs and stores but I can't pull the trigger to buy anything now.  What a change!  Buying something will put me that much farther from my ideal capsule makeup collection.  I am finding that it is also easier to let go of items that don't work for me.  Colors, textures, scents that don't bring me joy are passed along.  I want so badly to be at that point (capsule makeup) but I'm still over a year away from that.  One day....

My poor dog is suffering from my no-buy.  I try not to go to the drugstores so when we ran out of doggie treats, I didn't run out and buy more.  He had to wait a week for the online order to be delivered.  And then he was suspicious of the word "treat".  He used to come running when he heard that word.  But after a week, he realized there wasn't any.  I have to retrain him.  Where's the doggie emoji when I need it?
