Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I made it through Black Friday with only a small purchase, a book for my DH that was 40% off with an additional 30% off. I used my credit card points to get him a gift card too. His birthday is today and I wanted to make sure he had a few things to open since he has been so busy interviewing. Luckily, a lot of companies are interested in his abilities and he's had a few interviews at several places. We just need one of them to say "you're hired". This has definitely taught me to be patient.

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!

Goodness, is the month really almost over? It has flown by!

I have made three unnecessary purchases this month. I can rationalize two of them are OK. The first was the BE TSV. On AD. It had been two years since I bought one! I was not buying other brands either. And it is very nice. I use everything.

Then I saw a thread about the limited edition Korres Vanilla Cinnamon and I had to get it. It is very nice & I am glad I got it. But I had decided to have only two shower gels at a time and now I have three.... But both of the ones I had already are only about 1/3 full. Soooo, while I have three bottles I have less than two full ones. I will probably need to order another one.

The last one I have no excuses for. I was bored and decided to stream ShopHQ. Dimitri was on. I knew he might be and I looked anyway. I ordered the Secret Elixir and Beauty Sleep Botanical Oil Mist Duo. I like oils and stuff that helps me sleep better...but I did not need to buy the kit. But I will probably like it anyway. lol... I like SKINN products but I swear Dimitri must use some sort or voodoo magic because I cave & want to buy lots of things from him when other vendors don't tempt me at all.

On the using things up part of ComPacting, I am doing well at using my skincare items up before starting the one I have bought to use next. That used to be a problem for me. I'd buy one to use when the one I was using started to get low. Then I never finished the old one.

Had some chilly weather & it triggered the start of my Hot Tea in the Evening Season. It is so good to drink a cup of tea in the evening...

I went out on BF shopping with my husband's family. I found a great deal on a popcorn maker, a mattress pad, 2 bath mats. I SIL's kept saying 'is that all you got' and it felt so good to say that all I got were things I needed. I did not miss that remorseful feeling that I experienced in the past when buying things I just did not need. Wild, hang in there. It's progress, not perfection. Moving on into December and I continue to be amazed at how slow I am to empty things. I hope everyone else is doing well; this can be a very crazy time with all the great deals.

Well, for November I had more coming in than going out.

We were given boxes of (unexpired) toothpaste and mouthwash again.

We gave away 48 tubes of toothpaste! I'm still plugging away at my stockpile, but all in all, I had a net gain of 17 items this month.

I'm having very bad luck with a couple WoodWick candles (Fireside). They are so sooty, I'm getting a black film all over everything. I won't be buying those again.

I ordered a diffuser and some essential oils (on sale). I'm toying with the idea of diffusing the oils and perhaps getting some of those flameless candles. I don't know. Time will tell.
