I haven't posted lately as I've been overwhelmed with medical tests, etc. but all is basically fine. I can live with the results. I have not bought any beauty products except Cover Girl foundation when it ran out.

I take my decluttering in spurts depending upon what is going on in my life. Today was a good day, so I have four 30-gallon trash bags at the curb plus boxes for tomorrow's trash pick up. I did buy two pair of crops to replenish my crop wardrobe as several pair are showing their age. That does it for summer clothing needs as I have several items still in good condition.

Let's see: I have atrial fibrillation, severe arthritis and small tear in the rotator cuff of my right shoulder..my preferred side, and a stress fracture and arthritis in my right foot which is causing inflammation and swelling. As I said, I can live with the results. I just pop pills twice a day for the atrial fibrillation and cortisone shots for the rest. I'm thankful I have insurance as the out of pocket for the two heart meds combined is around $900 a month. My co-pay for them is $30. The atrial fibrillation can be serious because of the risk of stroke.

There are those who have issues far more serious. It is just that it takes time for me to run to the city an hour and a half away for appointments and tests while sandwiching in some days to sub at school. Right now, it looks as if I just have appointments to face.

I like your take on the situation. That makes a huge difference.

Konakat, I am glad things are manageable and, I agree, your attitude is great.

Dosey, yikes, I can barely handle bugs in the house much less critters.

We have been getting such beautiful days. Not too hot and not cold. Just right. I hope it lasts for awhile.

I read Dosey's post yesterday morning, then went into the kitchen where I found an enormous wolf spider in the sink. I think they're called wolf spiders because they're roughly the same size as a wolf.

I captured it and put it outside under our golden rain tree.

We grow our bugs big in New Mexico. Real big.

justbee - Just looked up a picture of a wolf spider, I would have been screaming. I don't like spiders, and that one is just creepy.

I actually have a couple victories to post. I managed to get through April without succumbing to any of the tempting offers from Aveda. I'm sticking with my plan to finish the shampoo and conditioner I have before I buy more.

But yesterday I woke up to find an email from Alegria and their site was full of closeouts for Nurses' Week. Usually I can look without temptation but this time was different. Not only was there a fantastic selection of colors and styles that I have been coveting, but they were all available in my size. We're talking maybe seven or eight pairs. Or more.

I was mortified.

Cut to the chase, when I checked the site a few hours later, all but one of the styles that had me considering a purchase were gone.

Proof that a few hours can make all the difference. I definitely do not need another pair of Alegrias -- no matter how fabulous they are. A sobering thought: I probably have enough pairs now to last me the rest of my life.

Well, now I'm depressed. {#emotions_dlg.blink}

When we first moved here 19 years ago we saw our first wolf spider on the patio. For some reason it looked very odd and very large. When we looked closer it appeared that the surface of the spider was... moving. Better-half touched it and it exploded. What seemed like zillions of baby spiders went scattering all over our patio.

I ran back into the house screaming:

"I'm calling the realtor -- start packing!!!"

I have a soft spot for them now because they seem like good parents. Carrying all those kids on their backs...

Just another thing the NM Tourism Department failed to mention. {#emotions_dlg.angry}

Wolf spiders - I just looked it up too. No way could I handle that. I often think I want to live out more in nature but I dont think I could handle all the critters. Maybe its a matter of getting use to them. I dont know. One of my cousins use to live in Arizona. They would find all kinds of snakes and things in their garage. Omgosh. I wonder how they get in the house - through the pipes and drains?
