I'm willing to pay for them to return it. It's a great deal, but the day after I orders, I tried to cancel it, but it was too late cancel the order. I didn't plan for the tires to be replaced.

makeup addict, I apologize if I sounded insensitive in my last post. I was trying to make you feel better, in case you kept it, to know that it doesn't have to be an expensive coat hanger. Lol! Car maintenance is very expensive and if I were you, I would have also try to cancel.

However, I am really tempted right now by the e.l.f. bundles that are being offered. I like e.l.f. cosmetics and they're offering a bundle, sort of like the Beauty Test Tube. Every 8 weeks you get $40 worth of products for only $20. I REALLY want this. It comes out to only $10 a month. I am holding out for now, but the idea of getting some new items every 2 months for such a reasonable price is SO tempting.

I have to remember why I joined this ComPact to begin with when I feel this temptation. Someday down the road, I'll allow myself a treat of some new color items, but just not right now. Stay strong everyone!

So you're saying you'd be spending $10 a month. Twelve months in a year, so $120 annually.

I guess there are two ways to look at this. Yes, that sounds like a great deal and not a huge expense. But if you don't NEED the items, why collect more?

However...

If $10 a month can keep you satisfied and happy and you can use or share these items, then that's a deal.

See, what I would do is something really stupid, like this:

I would just say no to the $10 a month and I'd feel very good about that. But then, for no reason, I'd probably turn right around and spend several times that amount on something else -- something that brought me little or no satisfaction. And then I would dwell on this. I'd think to myself: "Wow. I could have spent $10 on the e.l.f. products and I would have used those. Even if I didn't use them, big deal. I lost $10. But because I didn't invest in that little psychological deal, I went off on a tangent and bought something I really didn't need that ended up costing more. And now I feel worse than if I'd just coughed up the ten bucks a month."

Of course, this is all clever rationalization, which is something we all do pretty well around here. But I always think of the people who come into work carrying cups of coffee that are $7.50 or more. If the $10 a month is a problem, what can you stop doing to free up that ten bucks for the e.l.f. package?

I'd rather have a surprise come to the house every 8 weeks than overpriced cups of coffee.

But I wouldn't be able to just go with that and be happy. I'd have to sit and struggle with the fact that e.l.f. products are made in China. Then I'd have to tell myself that I'd at least be using the products instead of spending $25 on one product from another company that might not even be used because the color is wrong.

Then you have to tell yourself that spending time thinking about all this is keeping you from getting on with your life and being productive. Is it more cost-effective to just buy the e.l.f. and allow yourself to stop thinking about all this? Will a package every 8 weeks prevent you from splurging on something else that might be more expensive and totally unnecessary?

Of course there's always the possibility that you decide to buy the e.l.f. but then you end up buying something else as well that's more expensive and totally unnecessary. And then you can feel guilty because it will feel like you lied to yourself about the e.l.f. and how it was a smart thing to do because it would actually "save" you money. But it didn't.

Do you ever sit and wonder if men do this kind of thing?

Oh, candles are my weakness as well. I really got stuck with a lot a few years ago when I was a Scent-Sations distributor. Most of my quantity is in votives. I currently have 77. I started this month with 80. In January 2013 I had 120. So, at this rate, I have enough votives to last two years! The bad thing is, they've mostly lost their scent.{#emotions_dlg.blush}

Since I'm disclosing my candle hoard, I also have 58 Mia Bella melts, 3 Mia Bella jar candles (had about 60 when I stopped selling), and 8 BBW candles.

Eager2Learn, is there something you can do to restore or add another scent? Would something like diffuser/essential oils do that? Don't laugh, I'm fishing here.

Hmmm, I hadn't thought of that. It just might work. I do have some oils and will experiment adding some to the melted wax after my next burning. That way the oils will sink down into the candle and not just burn off the top, if you know what I mean. Thanks!

rnmom - That ELF bundle sounds like it would be a lot of products since their stuff is reasonably priced. It could majorly increase your makeup stash in a short amount of time. I'm just thinking if I bought it, I would drown in ELF along with all of my other already purchased makeup lol. I would say really think about your stash before you make the purchase so you don't have buyers remorse when your stash increases every 2 months.

aprilskies - The Laura Geller sale lured me over to her site too!! It's a good deal but I definitely don't need any of her stuff right now. I swear her blush and eyeshadows that I have don't even look used and I've been using them a ton lately!! Those baked items last and last. I was able to exit the site with no purchases. We both passed that test!

My furbaby Charlie died on Saturday. He had been ill for the last month and didn't respond to the antibiotics. I knew the end was coming and he appears to have moved on peacefully. I had him for over 4 years. So I knew his likes and dislikes very well....didn't stop me from buying new treats at the petstore when I went to buy his regular food. I would be all excited thinking maybe he will like this treat....try it....nope he had NO desire to eat it at all. Play things were the same thing. He already had a couple things he adored and felt no need to try new things. But instead of returning or throwing away the unwanted/unused stuff -- I put it away in a box that I found after his death. I have to say it made me laugh. I had a stash of "maybe he'll use it some day" items. Never thought my stash abilities went with my pet too lol. I could learn alot following his example of using just what I like and putting on blinders to new stuff. Anyone with a furbaby at home - please give them an extra snuggle for me! Cherish the time you have with them.

Hey -- do I know you? Were we separated at birth? That's precisely how I got into trouble in the first place. I started trying all those obscure teas I'd find in stores like Marshalls and Ross. That's how I found Yorkshire Red and Gold! {#emotions_dlg.lol}

Yes, we could have been separated at birth !!! I'm almost 55, how about you? LOL I love going to T.J. Maxx and checking for exotic teas and cocoas. I bought some Yorkshire but it wasn't red. Check out steepster.com on the internet. Great for tea lovers.{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

I'll be 55 in October... and I was just on steepster.com this morning. Either we're related or one of us is a pod person.

justbee, I'll be 55 mid-May. I think we are pod people. LOL

FindingMyJoy, I am so sorry for the loss of your furbaby.
