Re: ComPact 2014 -- December

Hello Everyone! Oh my gosh, love those closets Just Bee!

Well, I resolved many years ago not to make New Year's resolutions but I did make some goals.

My goals are 1. to replace (when they're used up) my current cleaning, laundry, and skincare products with those that are less toxic, 2. experiment with making some of my own products, 3. declutter 4. clean more, 5. make more meals at home, and 6. make an appointment to get our wills done. Smile

Yet another reason to curtail shopping...

Heard from my bank this morning that someone in another country was trying to shop with my card, so it was immediately canceled.

This is getting tiresome! But it still amazes me that my bank catches this stuff.

I love the closet pictures! But I don't believe anyone really has a closet like that...ok, maybe Martha Stewart...!

JustBee, if those sweatshirts don't make you feel good, then let them go. You have worked so hard with career and studies to not feel great when you get dressed. This has been working for me. I always make sure I have my make up on and hair fixed and, if this doesn't make me feel good when I put it on, it has got to go. Don't worry, you will still have plenty to wear. Maybe just keep the best Rude Dog's. Still at 1 1/2 closets here. I do always have a bag ready to donate, as it is an ongoing project. Good luck to all, and let's be proud of making the compacting journey this far.

I love the closets although I would be wondering where all my clothes are. Lol. One of these days, I will have one of those(or maybe not), I love the space. I would actually be able to think and coordinate in one of those.

This is true. One does require the right environment for thinking. I mean, one can think in the wrong environment, but the quality of that thinking might be suspect. This makes me want to clean the master bathroom today.

Oh, it's not that -- I actually enjoy sweatshirts. Right now I'm wearing an ancient Georgetown sweatshirt (from the 80s, I imagine) not because I like Georgetown but because it was such a well-made shirt. Really sturdy. And, of course, the mascot is on the front.

That's my wardrobe. Dog.

Re: ComPact 2014 -- December

Looks like a new thread is starting for 2015: SIMPLIFY 2015. If it takes off and you ladies would like to "switch," I will discontinue the ComPact. I've already discontinued HEP -- there won't be a January thread.

Re: ComPact 2014 -- December

I have really enjoyed all the ComPactors here, and it has been a great experience. I feel this thread is more intimate and rather feel that I have come to know the posters on this thread. I went through the other thread, which has a large following already, but I did not see anyone I recognized or anyone that has been on this thread. I guess I was wondering why they did not join up with this thread. Always resistant to change.
