I use one of two Fiesta Latte Mugs for my coffee every day. For my tea, too. I have a few other coffee mugs that don't get used and yet I "want" to buy more. WHY??? lol... There must be a mugaholics group out there.

And I plan to add more Fiesta Latte Mugs. I know I'll use them. But I need not to cave & get any other mugs. The Fiesta ones are perfect. I doubt I'll ever use any other mugs.

We could start one. I collected coffee/tea mugs in college and a college boyfriend was always finding unusual ones to add to my collection. I eventually lost all of them and started a new collection when I moved here. I just looked at the cupboard as my tea was brewing and I saw a mug that a high school friend gave me... when we were in high school. We're talkin' mid-1970s here.

I get that a structured decluttering plan may not work for some, but for others, it may be exactly what they need to push and motivate them, as well as encouraging them to as to where to start. I agree about the lamp, though. Not my style.......Smiley Wink

I always like learning about new sites. Even though we are all in different places in decluttering, sometimes, the motivation to do more is sparked and that is always a good thing. Thank you for sharing.

LOL, I love mugs. I set out at one point to collect one from every place I went. This is when I was traveling more. However, that didnt last long, I ran out of room fast. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

....and I seem to have a thing for travel mugs.

FUTURE-I signed up for the 91 day challenge, so thanks for posting about it! While I haven't been doing that great in paring down my beauty items, I've been actually doing well with the overall decluttering. My kids had a small yard sale to sell some of their old toys and we didn't sell hardly a thing. But, everything that didn't sell got packed up and taken to Salvation Army. So 5 black trash bags and some odds and ends left the house. Plus I've been going thru the kids' clothes for back to school and getting rid of some of those that are outgrown also. I think the 13 week challenge will be good for me. Some areas will be a piece of cake, others will be much more time consuming and might not get finished, but I like the inspiration to get moving. If I read about it, or watch Hoarders or something on TV it inspires me to get up and do something, even if it's just something little like clear one drawer or shelf. I figure anything is better than nothing, as decluttering is a never-ending, ongoing process.

No truer words! You're right -- I think we feel better if we do something every day. Doesn't have to be huge, but it makes a difference.

I think the ComPact is actually becoming a part of my subconscious now. I've passed up two cosmetic sales that I was determined to participate in as a "reward" for decluttering and using up my makeup. I hard full carts which I really had to work at to fill. I just couldn't think is anything I needed. So I was getting stuff that looked fun to try. Uh oh, back to my old ways. But then my "subComPactious" spoke up and asked if I really wanted to blow all my hard work when I am so close to my goal. And I knew that I would feel horrible if I bought these things. As positive reinforcement, I happened to hit pan on a blush the other day. It's always nice to have pan showing. I can actually see the daily progress.

The compact invades your whole mindset! You begin to scrutinize everything in your life! I finally unsubscribed from Sephora emails and I will lose my VIB status this year and well, --it is liberating!!!!!

I've been working on getting rid of excess dishes, storage containers, etc. in the kitchen. The ones I never use, never will use. I only want the things that are really useful to be taking up space.

I am almost out of moisturizer & picked up a new one to try - Yes to Tomatoes. Of course, I started using it as soon as I got it. I tend to do that & never quite finish the old ones so, this time, I made myself stop & I'm going to finish up the old one.

Just bee, thank you for posting the 91 day challenge! Trying to decide if I should try it. I feel like I am always cleaning up the bedrooms and living room, but I guess that's different then decluttering them. I need a 91 day challenge to finishing the projects I have wanted to do since I moved into this house. Hang pictures, paint, etc. I just need to invent a magic wand! Dperry, I gave up my VIP last year. It felt good but was good but was scary at the same time. What if I miss a great offer? I don't miss it one bit! I felt like I was always trying to get points for free stuff when I could just buy the free stuff for less money. It's hard to break those habits with the rewards. Starbucks gets me with their bonus stars all of the time! By the time I buy the extra ten coffees I wasn't going to buy in order to get more stars, I could have just bought a coffee when I wanted to for less.

Happy Saturday, all. I've been doing some bathroom remodeling that required me to completely empty the room. I have some of my skin care and makeup in a cupboard near the sink, and a soft of plastic basket with lots of small compartments for the rest of my makeup, which I keep under the sink. I thought I'd weeded out things I didn't want anymore, but I decided to give it one more try. Now I'm celebrating because that cupboard shelf is NOT full, and my basket is about 25% empty for the first time, well, ever. I cleaned all the bottles and compacts and things so they look and feel fresh. Can't tell you how good this feels, especially the part about everything not being full of odds and ends I only used during the proverbial blue moons. I still have spare supplies in the linen closet, but even that's been narrowed to products that I use all the time. And the only one I have too much of is WEN, which accumulated when I thought I'd use it faster. While I was at it, I tossed all but a few hand towels and all but two bath towels per person, and put what's left on a lovely towel rack I added. Nothing in the linen closet but sheets, two sets per bed, plus a few blankets and extra pillow cases. I would love to see every drawer, cupboard and shelf in my entire house and office at least 10% empty. Feels like room to breathe, ya know?
