Re: Color the World Lipsticks--Reviews and Comments?

@Lindsays Grandma : I found the CTW lipsticks not moisturizing at all for me. I also had trouble finding the right color. The coral I got..can't remember the name...is too bright for my coloring which is medium olive. I like a strong color but bright is too harsh on me.

Also got the Red Apple. Not as drying but still trying to find a good shade.

Re: Color the World Lipsticks--Reviews and Comments?

I've tried these lipsticks and although I like how they feel and last, I've never been able to find the correct color. They go on lighter than in the tube. After about 6 different colors, I've given up.

Re: Color the World Lipsticks--Reviews and Comments?

I ordered the set with Huntress.  The colors are too warm for me, and weren't what I was expecting.  I also ordered the peppermint balm, it does not keep my lips moisturized for very long.  I also have set with Empowerment.  The colors are cooler and decent enough.

That being said, they are drying on my lips and all are very matte.  I have to use a balm before applying them, and if I want them to stay comfortable I have to apply a gloss (usually BE Buxom) on top.

I think it's very hard to see the photos of the colors in the tubes, and swatched on the arm, to determine how they will look on you.  I haven't found them accurate.  And I would love to know which ones are supposed to be glossy/shimmer as none of mine are.

The big problem I have is no returns or exchanges.  They did give me a coupon code for $5.00 to try another shade.  And they do give 25% coupons when you post a review.  They also give $5.00 to sign up for emails.  So do that and try just one shade and see what you think.  Shipping is free and fast, and the price of the product is decent.  Packaging is adorable!

Re: Color the World Lipsticks--Reviews and Comments?

I ordered the "Empowerment" shade.  It's a mauve shade, not too pink or brown.  It's a good neutral color.  The lipstick is buildable so coverage from sheer to full is easily achieved.  The lipsticks are promoted as wonderfully hydrating, especially for mature lips.  Well, I'm not impressed with the hydrating component, at all.

Re: Color the World Lipsticks--Reviews and Comments?

I bought three tubes in one of their packaged deals. First of all, the colors are not what they said. They all have a pink tint, which is not neutral. They don't bleed into your fine lines, but that's the only positive thing I have to say. If I'm going to spend $11 on lipstick, I would hope I could wear it for more than five minutes, but this stuff comes off as fast as you put it on. I am a lipstick junkie, and there are much better, less expensive lipsticks out there. They do not take returns, and in fact, they don't respond to anything, and they don't post negative reviews. M going to look up the Red Apple lipstick you mentioned.

@sunala  ... I have three shades: Empowered, Rose Petal, and Flawless.  I like them .. but probably not enough to re-purchase.  Also, the colors are nothing like shown or described on the website.

Uh-oh!  I just ordered and received 2 of these.  I got the e-mails which had the 40% off and free S&H.  I would never have paid the original price and S&H.  I had seen these before and was intrigued with the statement of no bleeding and also because they give a percentage to charitable causes.  And quite honestly, I thought the packaging was just so cute!  I really like the colors I got, although since I just received them yesterday, have no idea as to their staying power, etc.  I'm sorry you don't like your purchases and that they are not holding up as they should.  I guess I am in for the same thing!  And I did know that they have no return policy so I guess if we know that ahead of time, that is on us!  Another lesson learned I fear.....

Re: Color the World Lipsticks--Reviews and Comments?

I have several friends who have just about every tube this company makes and love them. One of them is a consultant with Mary Kay and pretty much wears these lipsticks.

I ordered 3 tubes last Wednesday when I got the 40% off and free s/h e-mail.  I ordered 2 in Huntress which is Give a Dog a Forever Home and 1 in Cashmere which is Save the Kittens.

I rec'd my order yesterday and rec'd the 2 in Huntress but was sent Empowered instead of Cashmere although my packing slip had Cashmere listed.

I e-mailed the company per the instructions on the website and rec'd a response shortly thereafter apologizing for the mistake. They said they would send me out the correct item and that I should just keep the wrong lipstick.  I rec'd an e-mail first thing this morning stating my new package had been sent.

I haven't tried the Huntress yet for myself. The other 2 are gifts.  But I have zero complaints about the c/s.  However, I wouldn't pay $20.00 for a tube of this lipstick.  I wouldn't pay $20.00 for any tube of lipstick.

I have used my lipsticks a couple of times now.  They are not bad.  I wouldn't pay the regular price for them, but as you stated, I wouldn't pay that much for any lipstick!  I did think that the 2 I got were somewhat more sheer than I thought they would be and also lighter.  One color I really like and the other I don't.  It's way too light for me and I'm extremely fair.  But that's certainly not their fault.  But it's too bad that there is no return policy.  But they tell you that at the start.  I am not displeased at the quality though and I would try different colors some other time when they have a good sale.

@AngelPuppy1I tried the Huntress. The color is alright but not a favorite of mine and I can't say it's particularly moisturizing or long lasting.  I would say it's just an okay lipstick but not a favorite.
