DEMETER has a library of fragrances that are not too strong and "perfumy"

" Miss Dior Cherie " is light and lovely.

I agree with the suggestion about body spray from Bath and Body Works being a better choice for an 11 yr. old. If you want to make a little set for her, get a matching shower gel and lotion to go with it.

@MESPal, I would check with Macys, Ulta, Sephora and Nordstrom. Hopefyully you can get some help using CHAT. Nordstrom has CHAT and they offer free shpg and returns.

I think something from Bath and Body Works would be appropriate. If you want to go with something else, Ulta carries Soap and Glory items. They have a powdery almond fragrance and a lime-ish fragrance that would work. I didn't care for the original pink scent.

I agree with Charlie or how about Clinique Happy?

I second that! Most of their scents are subtle and, frankly, fun. It's a treat to peruse "the library."

@Leeny wrote:I don't know if it's still made our not, but Baby Soft is a real soft fragrance. I know when I was that age I loved cologne/perfume. The only thing now is a lot of the ones I had are no longer made such as Friendship Gardens and one Avon made Daisy's Don't Tell.
So many of the fragrances today are not for 11 year olds.
Oh my goodness! I was just going to post about Daisy's Don't Tell, but you beat me to it. I'm surprised anyone else remembers that.
It was the first fragrance that I remember ever getting, that was for me personally. My mom got it for me when I was around 9 or 10, I guess.
You're right....I remember being that age and just loving perfumes. I would go to my aunts' houses and play around with the bottles on their dressers. I remember they would often give me older bottles, mostly used-up, that they didn't mind parting with. I don't remember playing with my mother's though. Maybe she didn't have any or I knew enough to leave them alone.

Maybe someone already suggested this:

I agree with the others who suggested Bath and Body Works. Their frangrance mist is lighter than even cologne. They also have many choices that would be appropriate for a younger girl.
We started our DD on those, with body wash, lotion and hand sanitizers to keep in her bag.
I wouldnt choose the musky type scents. But the lightly floral or fruity scents.
