I only use it in the kitchen.

Lately I'm enjoying toasted coconut flavored coffee too.

I use organic coconut oil in my cooking.  I use that same oil on my straw hair and get silky results (either as a mask or just as a quick fix with my hands, not making a greasy mess.
I also mix it in with my Perlier 99% pure shea butter too.  Shea is very solid, mixing in the coconut makes it less hard and dense (thus easier to schmear on my dry feet or hands and legs).  It's great stuff and very good for you in moderate amounts.

Yes! Love the scent!

Presently I'm not using coconut oil for anything, though. But it would be a great body conditioner!

@phoenixbrd   I tried it as a face cleanser (it clogged my pores) a long time ago. On my hair difficult to shampoo out.

Any tricks?

I like coconut oil, but can't stand the smell.  I've tried it in cooking and on my skin.

My doc prefers olive oil for cooking. Guess it's healthier.

The one time I used coconut oil, the food tasted like coconut....not what I was going for.

It will flavor food.  I'm choosy about how I use it.  I use MCT oil in my coffee almost daily, it's derived from coconuts but is flavorless.  If I happen to be out and substitute with coconut oil it's noticeable.  My preferred cooking oils are EVOO and avocado oil.
