@Shelbelle- Can you share what clean product(s) you use for facial cleansing and moisturizing? You seem to know a great deal about ingredients.

Lead. Although lead is not intentionally used in cosmetics, it can be found in trace amounts in mineral colorings primarily used in lipsticks. Lead is a FDA-regulated ingredient.

Anti aging " beauty" is and always has been a scam. I don't use those products.

Yup, that sums it up right there. 'Clean beauty' is like a club. You either join the believers or not. It's a personal choice.

I dont really know that much, not nearly as Sillie Me does, but I know what I avoid in skin care and facial and body washes, such as talc, mineral oil, petroleum, parabens, DMDM Hydantoin, and artificial colors. One brand of skin care and cosmetics I do use often is Pacifica, vegan, plant based, products and none of the nasties I avoid. I also try not to use any animal based products , also I avoid made in China

I use products I love. Whether it’s labeled clean beauty or not I don’t care. Companies still put preservatives in their products because otherwise they don’t last. Companies have been caught saying they are clean beauty and because there is no regulation they still have stuff in them that is deemed not clean. If they don’t have proper preservatives they go bad. What happens when you’re putting moldy products on your face and don’t realize. That’s not healthy either.
Agree, even the most natural and vegan companies still use some type of preservatives, just not parabens.

There is a YouTuber called contoured chemist. She is an actual chemist. She has done so many videos on this and how it’s just a scam.
I'm a chemist, too. I have a two degrees in the science, a MS in biochem and clinical diagnostic chemistry. I studied cosmetic chem and dermatology but decided to take a different route in the clinical sciences. In the beginning of my college years I also looked at industrial chem and its application at a local national brewery, Coors in Golden Colorado. I applied there once but my friend beat me to it. Darn, that would have been a great job, too.

@SilleeMee Your credentials are very impressive and I have always respected and valued your posts. Do you have a facial cleansing and moisturing "clean" product to recommend?
