HSN was featuring Dermablend last night. The price is quite a bit cheaper than Clarisonic. Has anyone compared the two? Which is the best to get for cleansing your skin? Thank you.

Re: Clarisonic vs. Dermablend

I had a Clarisonic and ended up selling it on E-bay. It was okay, but WAY overpriced IMO. I now have the other one you mention. It was only $29 when I got it. It's okay too, but this is not something I use every day. It does have more heads that are different from each other. I like that you don't have to charge it on some ugly stand. It runs on batteries.

Re: Clarisonic vs. Dermablend

When I read your topic, I was trying to figure out how Clarisonic and Dermablend, a makeup product, could be compared. After reading I realize you meant the Dermabrush. I purchased a Clarisonic which I ended up sending back. I purchased a Dermabrush as a gift for a friend. She loves it. It's on my list of things to get for myself.

Re: Clarisonic vs. Dermablend

They're entirely different things. The clarisonic uses sonic vibrations to cleanse whereas the dermabrush is a rotating brush head.

I never had a rotating brush unit that I liked or seemed to make much difference on my face. I've had my full-sized clarisonic for years and have been very pleased with the results. It's gentle on my skin but effective. I didn't take mine on vacation with me last year and by the end of the week, I noticed who rough and leathery my forehead was. Faithfully used my clarisonic once I got home and my forehead was back to smooth and soft in no time.

Only thing that bothers me about my clarisonic is the cost of the replacement brushes. They shouldn't be as expensive as they are! I haven't tried off-brand brushes yet, but my next purchase will definitely be the off-brand.

Re: Clarisonic vs. Dermablend

I had a Dermabrush once about 5 years ago, then it disappeared from the market place. I loved it and felt it gave a more vigorous cleansing than the Clarisonic. The problem was it totally quit after about 3 months of use. It was under warranty but I just wasn't in the mood to go through the hassle of sending it to the manufacturer. The one I had was rechargeable and looked more like the Clarisonic.

I love my Clarisonic - great customer service too! Mine quit working after 3 years and was out of warranty by 4 months and they sent me a new one complete with a new 3 year warranty!

3 year warranty? Really? I just bought the QVC TSV & it's a 2 year warranty.

Yes, I love the Clarisonic. Had mine for 5.5 years & it quit working. Why go with a 'me too' copy cat, wanna be product. Go with the real deal!

I've never had luck with dupes. The Clarisonic works for me, so I'm sticking with it.

Don't bother with the dupes--they don't work. My daughter tried a few and ended up throwing them away as it was too costly to send them back.
