I am interested in buying my two teenage daughters a clarisonic for a holiday gift. I have never seen a presentation and I am not sure the difference between all of the different models. One daughter is in middle school and the other is away at college. Can anyone help me out with which model may be  the best choice.

The Mia is a good place to start, it does everything you need it to do at a reasonable price.

I second the MIA choice but.......buy JUST the MIA and not the package where you get bottles of cleansers too which jacks up the cost.  Those cleansers might not agree with everybody's skin chemistry - so just let your daughters use whatever products they currently use.  I paid $100 for my MIA and it's still going after 4 - 5 years.

I agree with getting them the Mia, I have had mine five years and it is still going. I also paid about $100 for mine as well. It does all I need it to do with just one speed.

I too second the Mia choice for them. The next step up has the body brush with it and a program to do it. I use the body brush on my thighs and arms where I get little bumps and to stimulate the cellulite to go away. They are young, the Mia would be perfect for them. I only use mine at night because I have sensitive skin and oily skin and don't really clean in the morning but a cleansing cloth, Olay micro exfoliating, and a bit of toner. I do use my Clarisonic after yard work to really remove the dust, dirt, pollen and bacteria found in soil, and scrub my body too! They will love this for Christmas. My sister has the MIA and got is for $99 at a Sephora inside JC Penny's, so today's price is great with the extras and payments too!

Re: Clarisonic question

[ Edited ]

The MIA is the TSV tomorrow so wait till then.

Here is the description for $199. A270916 with free ship and handling and 5 flex pays of $39 and change.  The colors are one solid and one swirled, purple, pink, teal(blue but more teal than blue), pink/white, and black/white.

What is it: Spoil yourself and someone on your list with the best-selling Clarisonic sonic cleansing device, the Mia 2. This special-edition set includes two units--one in a vibrant solid color and one in an Ikat print--making it easy to give and get this holiday season!

Who is it for: All skin types.

Why is it different: The rechargeable Mia 2 uses gentle sonic oscillation technology to gently cleanse skin, loosening dirt, makeup, and oil as it helps to reduce the appearance of pore size and wrinkles. Clarisonic cleansing removes six times more makeup than manual cleansing with finger pads, helping to increase product absorption.

How do I use it: Remove eye makeup before cleansing. Apply Refreshing Gel Cleanser to wet skin or directly to a wet Clarisonic brush head. Push the on/off button, select speed, and follow the one-minute T-timer prompts while moving brush in small, circular motions gliding on top of skin: 20 seconds on forehead, 20 seconds on nose/chin, and 10 seconds on each cheek. Hold the brush head flush to your skin. Pressing too hard will impede the motion of the brush and reduce effectiveness. Mia 2 will automatically shut off after one minute. From Clarisonic.

Includes:

  • Two Mia 2 devices
  • Two sensitive brush heads
  • Two 1-fl oz Refreshing Gel Cleansers
  • Two travel cases
  • Two pLink adapters
  • T-timer function
  • Low/normal speeds
  • Approximate measurements: Device 6"L x 2-1/2"W x 3"D, weighs 7.2 oz; Cord 49"L
  • UL listed adapter

Thank you!  The Mia it is and I will wait until tomorrow. Thanks for the advice. Knowing it will last and do the job for them is important.

I just checked Sephora because I have the 20 percent off and they have the Mia.  Is the only difference between the Mia 2 and the Mia is that the Mia is only one speed?

I love my Mia2 and use the deep pore brush. I use it everyday for many years now. I got the email for the TSV and that is a great deal for 2 of them!

NO TSV?  Isn't that odd? Did I miss something?
