Clarisonic- Am I using wrong?

I do not use the Clarisonic every day, as it seems too much for my skin. After reading more yesterday, I wonder if I am using the wrong brush head or cleanser. I am older, so I have been using Olay age defying cleanser (which I think has microbeads) with the deep pore cleansing brush head (due to larger pores on my nose). I used this cleanser with my hands before I got the Clarisonic. Should I switch to a gel cleanser? Should I alternate the brush heads every other day between sensitive -/ deep pore? Any suggestions?
