I was starting to get lines and in response now apply prescription Retin A every single night.

They're gone.

Completely.

IF side sleeping is your cause...I agree mostly w/ QVC Fan. There IS something that you can do...Silcskin Decollette pads from Amazon TOTALLY WORK! I don't think they are that expensive because the pad lasts for months. I wear it to bed and wake up wrinkle free.

Apply to clean, dry skin and wear to bed. In the morning...no chest wrinkles. I have used them for years and have no side sleeping wrinkles anymore! I still use a neck cream during the day...but it is the pad that prevents the wrinkles from side sleeping in the first place.

Treat your chest as you would your face. SPF is absolutely THE most important anti aging product there is. If you don't use SPF then don't bother to use retinols or other chemical exfoliants or anti aging to correct it because you are literally defeating the whole purpose.

I would suggest starting off with Alpha Hydrox Retinol ResQ. It is a good product that will help your skin to start producing collagen which will help keep the skin firm. it is a good exfoliant that will help with wrinkles. When you are outside or in the car or near a window the suns UVA (the A stands for aging) rays are hitting your skin. Even if it is cloudy this is happening. While you may not get any color (tan or burn) the UVA rays are aging your skin. SPF is a must in protecting it. I would get a good moisturizer with a SPF and wear it everyday. One that contains cell communicating ingredients and antioxidants. Paula's Choice makes great ones. They are priced reasonably and don't contain irritating fragrances. She also has other chemical exfoliants that will help to give your skin a jump start and slough off some of the dead skin which could be making your skin look a little more crepey than it really is.

You hit the ball out of the park again, Irshgrl. That is pretty much exactly what my dermatologist told me when I asked her about my chest wrinkles: use SPF to protect and a retinol cream to restore. I use ROC Deep Wrinkle on both my face and chest; they have both a daytime and a nighttime cream--I got both at Costco. Thanks for the recommendation on other products--I may try one of those when my ROC runs out (although I am happy with it).

I just had a new laser treatment - BBL Forever Young done on my face and chest. The doctor that did it suggested using the same treatments on your chest as what you use on your face and emphasized the use of retinol and sunscreen. Hoping for good results with the treatment, they say a series of three.

I am not going to recommend a $100 neck/decollete cream, but if you've never even applied your body lotion or cream to your chest area shame on you. The chest needs some external help with hydration. Any kind of cream will help, but I always opted for something heavier even before the fancy expensive creams for the area came out.

These days I take my hands over the neck and chest when I'm using argan oil on my face. I also don't skip the area when I apply body lotions and creams. The result of my habit has been that without using anything specifically for the neck and chest, I'm pleased with the texture and appearance of both. By the way I'm a side sleeper too.

Now using Perricone Sub-D which also seems to be helping.

I'm using it Sub-D too and it seems to be helping a bit. I just wish I'd started it sooner. My chest is wrinkling before my face and neck and it's from sun damage. That's an area where I've often forgotten to cover up a LOT. I've done a lot of boating and sailing and that's probably the most sun damaged skin on my whole body.

Given that its sun damage, I might try using Retin-A there or Vamp's suggestion of the ROC deep wrinkle. The Sub-D is working, but I could use something a little more aggressive I think. Great thread, Michelley -- thanks!

I use JM balm on a sponge and coat my neck and chest at bedtime. So far no wrinkles (I am close to 60). Plus I always use sunscreen even when I don't go outside. I also use the balm on my eyelids and under my eyes. My eyelashes love it.
